Saudi girl executed for becoming Christian

A young girl in Saudi Arabia was brutally executed by her Muslim father this week after he learned his daughter had converted to Christianity.

Middle East business news website Zawya.com reported that the man, who is a prominent member of a "virtue committee," first cut out his daughter's tongue and held a one-sided religious debate with her. He then burned his daughter alive.

Observant Muslims hold that their Prophet Mohammed taught that Muslims who convert to any other religion must be killed, often in extremely brutal fashion.

1 .  Unbelievable
This is such a heinous crime. There should be worldwide outrage about this. The Muslims I know here would never do this. They would be extremely upset but they would never murder their own children. I feel really bad for that girl and her mother.

I do need to point out something. Before condemning an entire community, maybe you should look at Christian history. I know how things are over there, how bad it can be but look to yourselves. How many of my people (and so many others) were murdered and tortured by Christians? Then when you decided you could not eradicate us, you stole our holidays, some of our symbols, to convince us to follow your ways. Even your idea of the Virgin Mary and the Trinity goes further back then Christianity. No, I''m not Jewish.Yet, I hold nothing against Christians as a group for what has and does happen, only those who commit the crimes. I used to be a devout Christian but somethings never sat right with me. Even in this day and age, I decided only show my path to people. I

3 .  Executed Girl
There was very little validating information about this given. It would be good to have the girl''s name, the location, the specs about any reaction by local authorities to this murder. Maybe Christian groups can do something, for despots hate exposure. If the martyr was with a denomination, perhaps that church can file a legal brief or law suit from their country of HQ. Anyhow, this saint''s name should become known, symbolic of the many unknown martyrs and those suffering for Jesus in those hateful Muslim lands.

6 .  WEAKNESS AND INSECURITY
Only weak and insecure people do no tolerate differences. We are different. We should think differently.Diversity is is so desirable. How can someone hate, despize or killl another for the simple reason of being different or for thinking and having a different belief system?Violence is an evident proof of weakness and insecurity.Persecution is the evidence of weakness and insecurity.

7 .  EXACTLY Dave!!!
We do indeed need to keep our eyes on Jesus and not the things of this world. And I agree with you about thr Trib, in that we are here for satan''s wrath, but not for the Wrath of God, which I believe are the 7 bowl judgements, the 7th seal & the trumpet. It is easy to get swept away in these subjects and forget the "meat" for a time. thanks for the reminder. God bless

8 .  Benfox, Carol, Ellie and others
Greetings in Jesus.
I read lots of FASCINATING ideas relating to eschatology on this site and countless others. It''s all good and well as long as it doesn''t become such an OBSESSION that we fail to "keep you eyes upon Jesus, the Originator and Completer of the faith" [no "our faith" in the Gk!]
Personally, I have fallen into this trap on a couple of occasions, before I heard Him ask me "Where is the simplicity of being in Me going?"
We need to always be feeding on Him and the Scriptures that testify of Him to remain in Him. Everything else follows!
Personally, I am presently convicted from Scripture of the mid-trib "rapture" is the correct interpretation, [after Satan''s wrath but before the wrath of God.] but only time will tell. In the meantime we have to get and remain ready.
[To get good Greek input etc, get E-Sword free Bible software off the web.] God bless you all.

11 .  I believe you are correct young lady
God said we would undergo persecution and I believe we well could in the near future. I don''t think anyone of us knows how much pressure of persecution we can take but, I do know that God doesn''t give us more then we can endure. When I was driving taxi for the Lord I had some testing of sorts you might say. I had a man rob me in a dark alley with a straight edged razor to my throat. I knew he didn''t want me to live so I could pick him out of a line up and I say "Lord I don''t know how long it takes to blend to death but I will see you soon" Test of faith? I told the guy I would pray for him and he wanted out of the taxi real bad and I''m still here. I believe we are in agreement, just a matter of words and that is no big deal. Have been to China and had a close call there also. Wouldn''t want to live there.

BENFOX   8/18/2008 7:38 PM
12 .  Ben, perhaps I should have said
our time of presecution is coming rather than testing....but isn''t it pretty much the same (same effect on us, anyway)? Persecution TESTS our faith. Some in China (probably other places too) who were pesecuted because of their faith turned away from that faith. I guess testing could be perceived as being from God whereas persecution is from satan, so I stand corrected in my wording. Our time of PERSECUTION may well be at hand, especially under Obama. There will be persecution before the gr. trib. starts, do you agree? (try selling it to the Chineese underground churches otherwise) God bess, Ben!!
PS I keep using the Chineese because I have read "The Heavenly Man" as well as a couple of books on the persecution in China. Horrible what they have been and are going through. I know it is bad in many places in the world, I have just read more about China.

Carol   8/18/2008 7:17 PM
13 .  again we also agree but, maybe not in the same way?
I don''t believe christians go through testing so to speak. I believe as children we go through spiritual growth through trials and yes even God spankings for not conforming to His ways. What test would we undergo? For salvation which is a free gift or to see if we are better christian then others around me? I don''t think so. I believe 1 Corn 3:15 says all that we do for Christ can be lost, yet we are saved, yet so as by fire. Maybe its the word testing rather then growth that I myself might change. What do you think?

BENFOX   8/18/2008 7:01 PM
14 .  Just for a short time?
So that God can start His judgement as stated in chapter 2 of Thess. There will be many people saved during the tribulation and you and I agree on that, it doesn''t have to be us the church because God has appointed 144,000 Jewish men who are protected by him to preach the everlasting gospel, which is what they were suppose to do for many years but, surcome to the religious leaders of their day who Jesus said followed the commandments of men rather then the commandments of God. Those multitudes under the altar are those who came out of the great tribulation and God has his plans for them. Just as people will have to be saved by grace during the 1000 year reign on earth of Jesus/Yeshua our Savior.

BENFOX   8/18/2008 6:52 PM
15 .  continued
If this weren''t to happen, I wouldn''t lose my faith because I know we could suffer yet in the future. We also know that there will first be a falling away and I think we are going threw that period of time right now. People don''t want to hear the gospel, they want to hear a social gospel that doesn''t save yet makes them feel good. That is why the left has us reeling with their feelings rather then settling problems with real morals and reason. Yes I believe we will be raptured before the wicked one is revealed and when we are gone the Holy Spirit will be held back so that those who wouln''t believe can believe the lie as stated in 2 Thess. 2. This is just a point of discussion, not meant to preach to those with other views. My churchs statement of faith is "The truth in Love" and I do love the people on this site, even those who don''t love you and I. May the blindness come off their eyes that they may see and worship the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, the God of Israel and of born again believer

16 .  Ben, if the holy spirit is taken out, then
NOBODY would be saved during the tribulation. There would be no conviction for sin. All believers hve the indwelling of the holy spirit, therefore the holy spirit must be here for people to be saved. True???
This is one of a very few countries where there has nto been a lot of persecution of Christians so far, anyway. Christians in countries like China and the ones you mentioned have suffered persecution, and indeed tribulation for their faith. Our time of testing is coming, too. God bless

Carol   8/18/2008 6:46 PM
17 .  My sister in Christ
Carol, I too can see where it may be somewhat of a problem for pre-tri rapturest to wonder about persecution and being for me that is not a problem. If we look around the world today, there is great persecution in China, Dufar and other place especially where there is Islam. Many have died in Indonesia for their faith, as I was there and was almost counted among them. We have had the grace of God that we have suffered in the US as yet but, I feel it is coming when we won''t be able to speak about homosexuality from the pulpit like they are doing in Canada and other places, or Islam is the only religion excepted to teach in schools, such as in California, where 7th graders have to study Islam for a week. And we can''t have a bible in school? Got off the subject somewhat. I believe 2 Thess 2:7-8 imply the Holy Spirit will be taken out, maybe because the Holy Spirit filled Christians are removed and then in verse 8 the wicked one is revealed.

BENFOX   8/18/2008 6:38 PM
18 .  con''t
I fear that some who may have total faith in the pre trib doctrine might turn from the faith when faced with going through all or part of the judgements. I guess what I would hope for all of us is along the lines of a"hope for the best, expect the worst, and take what comes" attitude. I know that is not well worded, but probably more like simply be prepared for whatever comes. Jesus died for me. I put the nails in His hands & feet. The least I can do is be willing to die for Him, and if that requires going through the Tribulation, I am willing. God bless

Carol   8/18/2008 6:13 PM
19 .  A question for you..
First of all, please understand that I am not trying to be agrumentative. In regard to the Maririage of the church to Christ, what is your understanding of when this is to take place? I have always heard, and understood that it would take place immediately after the rapture. Now, if this be so, and if the rapture is before thr tribulation as some here believe, then those millions saved during the tribulation wil have no part it it, and therefore won''t be a part of the bride of Christ.Since the whole church is to be the bride, where would that leave all those millions? I derive my beliefs straight from what the Bible says, just the plain Word of God. iI have listened to teachings of ministers, etc from both sides of the isle, but have found nothing to change my views. While I would love to be raptured out of here before the Tribulation, I feel that we must be prepared for what we may face. WHAT IF it turns out that we are not raptured before?

Carol   8/18/2008 6:12 PM
20 .  Annomous, there was an article
here on Israel Today a short time back addressing Abdulah''s call for interfaith dialogue, I believe it stated that he invited all faiths to Saudi for smoe sort of ecumental ''meeting of the minds'' or some such thing. This latest of Christians being persecuted there sure flies in the face of his interfaith call, but is not surprising in the least for a muslim country. Islam absolutely forbids to allowing of anything to do with any faith but theirs. Goes to show that there can be no communication on faith issues with muslims. Their "holy" book calls for our death.

Carol   8/18/2008 5:50 PM
21 .  Understanding of Scriptures cont.
Having a Hebrew/Greek dictionary at the least is important.
The most important part of studying scripture is to pray for insight and understanding. It takes time and discipline to prepare to study inductively. You are committing to use every scripture on the topic to compare for consistency, and correct understanding. Be willing to change a view if scripture leads you to. After all, we all want to understand God''s Word. I understand how challenging it is to find time to do this for many of you. Just get a notebook and start at the beginning, and answer those Who, what, when, why, how questions for each scrpture studied.
So what if it takes months? You will be so glad you did! God bless all our efforts to know His Word better.

Ellie   8/18/2008 5:03 PM
22 .  Seeking Understand of Scriptures
Learn to study inductively scripture never contradicts itself. The study of any view, must include going all the way back to the earliest writing in the Bible mentioning that view. Such as all the "Jacob''s Trouble" references to that event, and all that refer to the "wrath to come, etc." Then, record who wrote it, when, and who was it written for why it was written, and how or when it will happen. Examine the NT teachings the same way. What are the circomstances of the teaching? Who spoke, what was said, etc.
ALso, study how a Jewish Wedding comes about. Study every NT teaching on the relationship between Christ and the Church.

23 .  To BENFOX
Ben, I totally agree with your view of the pre-trib rapture. It takes some indepth study, and the marriage of Christ and the Church is a big part of the rapture study. Clearly the Bride is in Heaven in chp 19, before Christ returns to the earth.
How did the Bride get there is a hugh question for a post trib view. Another problem for some is Rev 3:10, when Jesus told the Philadephia church he would keep them from the wrath to come. The GR, translation of that word "from" is "out of , or "out of the midst of".
The Trib originated in the OT and is always a time for Jacob''s Trouble. Never, ever has the church been indicated in any way as going througn the Trib. The last wk of Daniel''s revelation of the 70 wks punishment of Israel is the last 7 yrs alloted for Jacob.

25 .  Beeing Christian in Iran.
Tehran - Sixteen Iranians who converted from Islam to Christianity were arrested in Malakshahr, on the outskirts of the central Iranian city of Isfahan. The six women, eight men and two adolescents who were arrested were assisting in a conversion ceremony and baptism of three new members of the church at a private house that had been transformed into an evangelical church. The official evangelical churches in Isfahan received orders not to allow any Muslims to attend their ceremonies and not to facilitate in any way the conversions. A few months ago, the government presented a bill which is currently being discussed in parliament, to include in the penal code the crime of "Ertedad" which is the act of abandoning the Muslim faith. If the parliament does approve the law, the punishment for abandoning Islam will be the death penalty. Those accused of worshipping in homes ordered deported
More than a dozen Christians in Saudi Arabia who were accused by government officials of worshipping in their homes have been ordered deported. The deportation conflicts with the message stated just weeks earlier by Saudi King Abdullah, who called for interfaith dialogue and held a summit in Spain with a representatives from several major religions. "Deporting Christians for worshipping in their private homes shows that King Abdullah''s speech is mere rhetoric and his country is deceiving the international community about their desire for change and reconciliation," said Jeff King, the president of ICC. According to an International Herald Tribune report, King Abdullah''s meeting drew about 200 representatives of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism and other religions. The reporter noted that the meetings had to be held outside of Saudi Arabia, because "the mere fact that rabbis would be openly invited to the kingdom, a country where in prin

In many cases, the place of martyrdom becomes the very ground of salvation . Their blood will not be in vain. I believe that my God is merciful and He is able to take us to a heavenly place in times of extreme cruelty.
The Scriptures also say that if the days were not shortened, none would survive them.
Raptured or not raptured, I am believeing God to have me ready. Jesus and His followers walked through the middle of the angry crowd without being seen. The Scriptures also tell us that" As the darkness gets darker and darker, The kingdom will get brighter. and brighter, and brighter. He has not told me to become a Zealot, or to stock up hoards of supplies and food. He has told me, to advance The Kingdom . "Fear Not " "We fight not against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers in high places." The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but to the tearing down of strongholds".

wedding in the time of Christ? The price was settled on, in this case the death of Christ on the cross to pay the price of the bride. Then the groom would go and build on to his fathers house. I go to build a manison for you and I shall return. Then when it is done the groom comes for his bride at a time she doesn''t expect. Then they concetmate (misspelled) the marriage for 7 days. 30 .  We don''t entirely disagree Carol
I have talked to Nazarean''s and the Church of Christ who believe you have to be baptized in order to go to heaven, when I bring up the fact that the theif on the right hand asked Jesus to save him, he wasn''t baptized and yet Jesus said this day you will be with me in paradise and I always get that was a special occastion but, it is not coinside with Gods nature and what He has written for us to follow. I believe He will protect the Jews and will care for them and He says so and most people of faith believe that will be in Petra Jordon. As I said, the Jews of the tribulation and the church are different. There is no reason for the church to be present on the earth at that time. God will have 144,000 Jews to do the work they were called to do in the first place and they will be protected, again it doesn''t say the church will be mark by God, only Jews from the 12 tribes. The fact is God could translate us as indiviuals today but, instead he is going to call home his bride, the church. How about the Jew

where the pastor is not called a rabbi, but I was speaking of Messianic Synagogues where they read the Torah, pray and sing in Hebrew and english, have Daviidic dance, etc. I only know of the Messianic Synagogues personally. I do know that more and more christian churches are beginning to identify with messianic beliefs, though. We did visit one church like that, but it was way off the wall one sunday morning service consisted of a BEACH PARTY IN THE SANCTUARY complete with Beach Boys music, bech balls, nets, hula skirts, the whole 9 yards....didn''t go back there again.....Have a great night!!

32 .  The protection of the Jews in Egypt
I am refering to is that when , say, the water was turned to blood, the Jews had been forwarned and had clean water. In the judgement of darkness, they had light in their dwellings. Hail? They were forwarned and brought their flocks inside. Boils? Not the Jews! And so it went. As forunbelievers dieing in the wilderness, it was because of that unbelief that they were not allowed into the promised land, and that whole generation with the exception of Joshua and I believe one other adult at the time of the golden calf had to die before they could enter the land, even Moses. Jews were killed in Egypt, true, but not by the Hand of God nor by His judgements on the Egyptians. Elijah & Ehoch? Special circumstances, don''t you agree? They walked with God and were no more. He could do that today with someone if He wished, but it''s His call. I think satan will be loosed to test those born in the 1000 yr period one final testing for the ''newbes". Scripture says many will be born in that time. God bless

33 .  thank you Carol, clean out and give hubby some room,
I understand and have gone to a messiaic church for awhile and still have many friends that are messiaic believers. Didn''t know that the Pastor considered himself a Rabbi. I know that all believer in Jesus/Yeshua are priest and kings, didn''t know that God made them Rabbi''s also. Please Carol, if you are going through the tribulation you are welcome to everything I have and I don''t have much, because I wouldn''t have much room in my bookcase either. No one has been able to show me the verses that showed Jesus protected the Jews in Egypt, you will be the first. Let me know? Even the unbelievers died in the wilderness even though they were Jews and Jewish children were killed in Egypt. Where is that verse? The reason God looses satan after a thousand years is to show, even with God on earth and satan bond, man''s sinful nature will still rebel against God. I still say, what about Elijah and Enock?

34 .  Ben,the rabbis I was speaking of are
believers in Yeshua just as Christian as you & I, except they are Jewish by birth and therefore can have a right understanding of Scripture.
I can''t pretend to have all the answers, Ben, but I do believe we are going through the Trib. I also believe that we will be protected from the judgements, that God will provide for us as He did for the Jews in the Exodus, & for Noah in the Ark, etc. Jesus died a horrible, undeserved death on that cross for my sin. Shouldn''t I be willing to die for Him? Perhaps this is a time of testing, a sifting of the wheat so to speak. Why is He going to loose satan for a short time after the 1000 year reign? I don''t know the answer to this either, but the Bible says He will, so I believe it will happen. Love all of you, God bless

How could there be a post tri position, do the believers meet God in the air and turn around half way and return? Still doesn''t explain why God without a verse would make believers go threw the tribulation and have to avoid death by not excepting the mark? Why would God tell me I am saved by grace (a free gift) and then make me choose again between him and satan? There were 2 other raptures. Elijah and Enock. Also Rabbi''s are not inspired by God to translate scripture, they are not born again and don''t have the Holy Spirit to give them the truth. There will be gentile believers under the altar also. I too enjoy the banter!! Nothing better than to banter about God''a word!! Regarding those ''''under the alter'', I have been taught that in Israel, all those who die are said to be ''under the alter''. This came from a messianic rabbi with ties to Israel. Anyone reading who is from Israel? If so, what''s the scoop? I used to watch Zola, too. He was a good teacher, & I agreed with him on much, but stubborn as am, still couldn''t agree about the rapture. Ever hear of Randy Wise? He is a Messianc Jew who has a program called CrossTalk. He is post trib. He doesn''t say a lot about end times, but when he does, it is from a post trib standpoint. He was saved through the writings of Hal Lindsay - The Late Great Planet Earth. He was ostrasized from his family when he accepted Yeshua, and wasn''t permitted to attend his father''s funeral. Before he was saved, he was a drug pushing hooligan. God bless

Jim B, you are right again. The saint under the altar came out of the tribulation, that is what the word of God says, they are the one murdered for not excepting the mark of the beast. They died and when strainght to heaven, they don''t need to be raptured. The reason Paul wrote the Thess. is because they thought they had missed the rapture. I never learned about Revelation until after I was saved and it wasn''t religion that taught me. I don''t hear many Pastors preaching on this subject, it scare them because of the predictions of Jehoval Witnesses and the Morman''s. They are afraid to say we are living in the end times, even if we don''t set dates. Not all Messianic teachers believe in Post or Mid tri. Read Zola Levett who was a Messianic teacher. Carol, there is more proof from Scriptures for Pre-tri then any other idea''s. Love you, keep up the comments

No, I haven''t heard of Dr. Fruchtenbaum. I haven''t been to Family Christian lately. Maybe I will stop by there one day this week. Have you heard of Eddie Chumley? He is a great messianic techer who is post trib, and has written a wonderful book on the the 2 house teaching. If you don''t know what that is, it is the teaching about Judah & Ephraim. Many Messianics deny his teaching, but it is straight from Scripture. I had a messianic rabbi say one time (tongue in cheek of course) that one thing about the Messianic movement is that it is really MESSY. Just like protestants, there are many differing views among Messianics. Human nature, I guess. God bless

hold that if the rapture and resurrection is pretrib, all those who die for Christ in the Tribulation would be lost as there is only one resurrection to life, and that would have occured before the Trib even began. Scripture is abundantly clear that millions willbe saved in the Trib, too. Sooo, where does the pretrib resurrection leave them??? I would love to be raptured before the Tribulation, don''t get me wrong. I am not silly enough to relish going through what is coming, but, like I said, #1 - I just don''t find it in Scripture. #2 - there is MUCH support for post trib. #3 - what about people coming to faith during the Trib? #4 - Jesus said He would come immediately after the Tribulation of those days. I don''t want to offend anyone, it''s just what I believe. God bless

Jim, a question for you, if you don''t mind if we all go up in ONE LOAD, and this is before the Tribulation, how do those saved in the Tribulation get there? I realize that the 7 years is the time of Jacob''s trouble, but don''t believe that gets us off the hook. Still holdin'' onto the belief that there are only 2 resurrections - one to life and one to death. If the res. to life is pretrib, those saved during the trib in essence have nowhere to go. The early church expected the IMMINENT return of the Lord, as we do. If one must wait until all the events of the first half of the tribulation to transpire, then the Lord cannot return RIGHT NOW, then it is not imminent. Up to the early 1800''s most churches Believed what Augustine taught. Amillinnealism and allegorical teaching of prophesy. Many were also preterists and Replacement Theologians. Darby simply revived the early church view of IMMINENCY of the Lord''s return and a pre-trib rapture.

I didn''t grow up in a church that taught the pretrib rapture at all, they didn''t even really tech about end times at all, so it is not something I had to "break myself of". As a teen I began reading Revelation and all the judgements, as well as other parts of the Bible - mostly New Testament - and simply took Scripture as it is written,at it''s face value if you will, without hearing any man''s ideas on the subject. I think that if a person could empty out all they have been taught, and go to the Word of God with a clean palate, new eyes and no preconceived notions, they would come to the same conclusions as many of us here have done. I tried to get into the pretrib rapture belief, but it just didnt'' wash with me. As for 7 years, it is a 7 year covenant with the antichrist, signed before they realize exactly who he is, all is good the 1st half (no tribulation there, huh) then he shows his true

50 .  I will try to answer as best I can
Yes, I believe the last trumpet is for believers and the dead in Christ. If it were before the Trib, then what about all those who are killed because they come to faith inthe Trib??? There is only one more resurrection after the resurrection to life, and that is to death at the end of the 1000 yr reign, so all those who refused the mark, who died marytrs deaths for Jesus have no hope if they are part of the second resurrection. I believe that the Bible is clear that there are 2 comings of Christ, the 1st 2000 yrs ago, and one more time only, at the end of the Trib for His saints and those dead in Him. Some have argued that it isn''t really Him coming to earth in the pretrib rapture, but I disagree. Jesus said He would come to collect his people. this pretrib rapture theory is relatively new, having started in the 1800''s.

51 .  I am in your camp BENFOX...
I am pre-trib also, for the same reasons you are. Jeremiah calls this 7 year period "The time of JACOB''S trouble (tribulation)". Indeed, 7 years remain of Daniel''s 70 weeks prophesy to be fulfilled. However, when Jesus does RAPTURE us we will all go up in ONE LOAD. So, let''s sit back for a few minutes and log on to www.terrorismawareness.org and watch "The islamic Mein Kamph".

Jim Borge   8/18/2008 12:41 AM
52 .  Would I be wrong in your belief in a mid tri. rapture?
The only problem I would have with that and I studied the mid-tri rapture, is that a believer would have to make a disicision for Christ again. Also the Jews did suffer under Egyptian rule and many died. Also why would I be comforted by Gods word? 1 Thess 5:11. I have never found the verse that says God would allow me to go into His wrath (orgay) in the greek or His punishment and then will protect me against the anti-christ and all those who will serve him. He will protect the Jews from the anti-christ at a point in time, never read that He would protect the church. Remember the church itself is going through a falling away at this time. Look at all the main line religions and the mega-churchs who preach a social gospel. Let me know what you think, I enjoy your comments even if we disagree on some parts.

Just a thought, could that last trumpet be for believers only and those who are dead in Christ? Remember God had a judgement against the Jews for a period of 490 years and that was stopped when Jesus entered Jerusalem and was cut off by not being excepted by the religious leaders. Leaving 7 years or the length of the tribulation? Many people will except the false religion of the anti-christ and his religious leader, the one world religion, which will look good to the unbelievers that were left behind, I believe they are the one''s being told to come out of her, her being the world religion with out Christ, not the church which isn''t mentioned even ONCE after verse 4 untill chapter 19? I agree with you that in Thess it doesn''t mention the last trumpet but God also had different trumpets for different occastions, the trumpet in Thess has to do with the dead in Christ or believers and those who are alive.

similar to those carried out in Egypt. Locusts, hail, waters turning to blood, etc. In Matt 24 God is talking to a group of His followers. Much is directed to the Jews who will be living in Israel at that time, but it is also for all believers. No, we in other lands won''t have to escape from Israel and be taken to a place of protection when the devil brings on the flood attempting to kill the "woman", but we will need to flee the cities to avoid capture if we are to survive the Trib. Jesus said in Matt.(29) immed after Trib...(30)...[Jesus] will appear in sky.....they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds...w/ power and great glory...40-46 depicts those taken & those left for the Wrath.
I have found no scripture to support a pretrib rapture, or catching away. We all have our own beliefs & I do not want it to cause a rift in our friendship, so we will just have to agree to disagree till the actual events take place!! God bless

I, too believe tht the rapture is after the Seal & Trumpet judgements of Revelation, but before the Wrath of God. I Thes 4:16 speaks of A trumpet but does not say which one. However, I Cor. 15:51-52 actually tells us that it the LAST Trumpet. I understand your point regarding the letters to the churches, but you miss the part later in Revelation where John tells believers to "come out of her my people" speaking of the churches of that day, when he saw what the churches had become - the whore and her whore daughters. Further, as to Noah, God did not remove Noah & his family from the earth, but protected them through the flood in the ark. God could have removed the Jews from Egypt, but He protected them through the judgements on Egypt. The Exodus was given as a pattern of the greater Exodus from the world system which we are about to enter into. Many of the judgments of the Trib are

Just a thought. In the book of Revelation where I happen to be teaching on Monday nights, the first 3 chapters are messages to the churches, those that existed at the time and churches throught out the church age. After that John is called up to the throne of God and the church is never mentioned again until chapter 19. Where is the church? The idea that Darby brought up the idea of the rapture is also wrong. You are right, the word Rapture in away is not in the Bible. neither is the word Trinity, yet you believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I hope? In the latin translatiion in 1:Thess 4:17, the words caught up are Raptura, in the Greek it is translated (harpazo) or catch away or up, pluck and take away. In Matt. 24 it is speaking of Jews that are taken. Notice, it is angels that do the work in Matt. and the Lord Himself in 1 Thess 4:16. I believe we also find that God removes the rightious before He brings judgement. Gen. Noah and his family caught up in the Ark before the rains fall. 7 days

Chapter 12 is a continuation of chapter 11 where the people are delivered . Matt. 24 verses 29 & 30 really tells you what you are hunting. And immediately after the tribulation of those days - Rev 24 : 30 Jesus appears in the clouds Rev 31 With the sound of a trump he gathers his elect . The words of Jesus recorded for ever are undeniable . So i Believe that we will go through the Tribulation but not the wrath portion. The Great Tribulation has two 3 1/2 year periods if we are understanding it right .

I was all enthused about going in the Rapture . I began researching the Rapture in the Bible and could not find the word rapture . Its not in the Bible , ok , so I began looking at all of the scriptures dealing with the subject because that''s my nature . I found that Preachers were teaching rapture because it was church doctrine and had very little scripture and no direct scripture dealing with it . Rev 4 tells of Johns door in heaven and trump and they conclude that the church is not mentioned again in Revelations . That''s pretty much an assumption that appeared around the early 1800s . Jesus Himself stated that he that endureth until the end the same shall be saved. Matt 24 13 The parable of the virgins the wise carried extra oil in vessels with their lamps to be sure to endure until the groom came . They knew that he might tarry or not show up until morning . Daniel 12 1 uses a conjunction "AND at that time " . This is after he describes the time of the Antichrist in Daniel 11 and tells us that chapt

I have heard their plan is to execute all prisioners at that time, to free the cells for us. many of us will escape, though. We need to get ready. Make a plan with other believers. Around 1999, there were people who were stockpiling food, and preparing places for believers to escape to. Haven''t heard much lately. Will pass this on if I hear more. It breaks my heart.

The brutal murder of this girl is a horrible tragedy but she has suffered all she can suffer and I do believe she *IS* in Heaven with my seven friends. But, we must continue to oppose evil and reach out to Muslims around us.

Persecutors do not always burn in hell. I seem to recall that the ''chief of sinners'' wrote a big chunk of the New Testament. If this girl loved the Lord, then she will have forgiven her father. Those who demand that he burn in hell are passing sentence, which is the prerogative of a judge in any court. Judge not lest ye be judged. Discernment tells us that the religion is demonic. Are we taught by Jesus to return hatred with hatred?

88 .  Hi Melody
It is very hard to pray for these people who do such terrible things, but we must remember that Jesus also endured a terrible death at the hands of those who also rejected Him, in the name of "religion", as did Stephen, and most of the Apostles.
YET, Jesus could have called on angels to rescue Him, but he chose not too.
But He has the power to!
Remember, Stephen''s face was a glow as he saw into heaven. It''s almost as though he were already there.
God could have taken Stephen so quickly, that the first impact was immediatley forgotten.
I have often thought of the angels guarding the little innocent children, as this child was. Nothing is too hard for God. We don''t know, but a heavenly dispatch could have taken her so quickly that pain had no time to torment her. We must trust in the Lord who has over and over shown us His Great Love and Compassion . May God bless you Melody, and strengthen us all.

Love in the Christian sense, does not mean an emotion. It is not a state of feeling but of the will: the state of the will which we have naturally about ourselves, and we must learn to have about other people…

“Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.. “ (Matthew 5:43)

Doing His will is obeying the commandment,
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart..”

We cannot feelings of ourselves. The LORD will give us feelings of love if He pleases. We must not demand them as a right.

Blessings to all

100 .  To Ellie
I too think, that this child prayed for her father to come to the truth and be forgiven. But NO ONE can imagine what she has endured.

I agree also with you to pray for the gospel to reach more and more in every Muslim country ..

But I tell you the truth, that this kind of story made it very difficult to me to continue to pray for them.
That''s not a lie. It is so.

103 .  Military Mom
I love your spirit. You sound like a few mothers I know including my own. You wrote "We must go back to the Scripture for guidance". The final clause of Duet. 32:13 speaks of "Oil out of the flinty rock". This describes SHALE. Geologists have known for years that we can extract oil from Shale, a flinty rock, found in abundance in Colorado, Utah, and other states. You are correct when you say that we must drill in Anwar, but the liberals in congress won''t let us. We still have natural resources here. The oil bought from arabs helps finance terror! I also agree with a draft, but doubt it will happen anytime soon. Yes, we can write our congressmen -AND PRAY God gives them wisdom. I served 20 years in the Army and I pray your child(ren) a safe return to you from wherever they are serving.

Jim Borge   8/15/2008 6:06 PM
104 .  Pray for the Saudis? Yes and more
We must go back to the Scripture for guidance. We pray for our enemies, but we don''t let them prevail over us. There is plenty we can do as a nation, such as WRITE TO YOUR CONGRESSMEN AND DEMAND ANWR BE DRILLED. We could have our own oil supply within 2 yrs! That would make us independent of the oil from the Middle east. Pray and Drill oil and Military, and while we are at it, make military service compulsory. These young people need the discipline and the education of military service. The best defense against threats is to be strong enough to repel them.

105 .  God moves in mysterious ways 2
Reading most of these posts makes me realize how un cohesive believers in Yeshua are. I understand anger over this but what should be our course? We are a body that fights & argues with itself. A kingdom against itself cannot stand.
I will reiterate what I said in the beginning of this post. We should Pray for the Saudi''s, We should pray for our unbelieving Jewish brothers and we should not keep silent about our faith in Yeshua.

107 .  What was your comment i wonder?
When you ramble with a inferior race and you don''t declare who that is, can''t understand your rant? Are you a Israeli who wants to declare that being Jewish is being apart of the Master Race, then your plain stupid and not worth reading. I don''t believe God ever said that but, Hitler and the same tried to say that, i don''t know of any Jews that would say what you implied. Can you prove your outstanding lie? If you contend that the Bible, Torah says that, you are a stupid ass who needs to do more then listen to the blind leaders as in the time of Jesus/Yeahua. Hope and pray you ge saved. "i wonder"?

It is happening here now. A father in Lewisville, Tx. about 8 months ago shot an killed both of his daughters in his taxie cab, because they had disgraced his religion. One guess as to what religion. A girl in Chicago was killed by her brother for the same reason. Same religion. I read a few weeks ago that honor killings are on the rise all across the US. All from Islam.

116 .  I cry for the father and his darknessl
I rejoice with my sister in Christ who is with our God and in real peace. I do cry for a father that could kill his own child. I know as a believer now, the real pain of anyone who respects God and life. Before I became a believer some 20 years ago I made that ungodly mistake and some day, and I hope soon, I will see that child that I miss so much and who payed a price because of my ungodliness. Please pray for my wife, I would say former but, I believe until death do us part and I know in her quite times she must shed the tears of regret that I do. I thank God for my undeserved forgiveness and eternal life in Jesus/Yeshua. I pray this man finds Him before it is too late and he visits his god now in a very hot place.

118 .  What is this really about?
I was just thinking that this kind of killing isn''t just about hate, but more about Pride. That''s why they call it Honor killing.

This father must have been brought up believing this was his duty, to save face in his community of barbarians. Maybe all aren''t so brutal in their executions, but honor killing is an encouraged practice among these men.

Besides being a liar and a murderer, Satan lost his seat in heaven because of Pride.

121 .  Let me rephraise
I try not to make a blanket statement, it is a bad religion, not a bad people, that story just angered me, as a father i could just, well i wont confess that. but nevertheless i don''t believe any sanctions in the world will solve even the smallest of issues in middle east, , but as a moral human race we should try. Forgive me>..

123 .  The Martyrs'' Crown Is Hers
Rev:3:10, and James 1:12.

This is particularly sad for all of us who are parents, who can''t even imagine how a parent could do such a horrible thing.
Stephen asked forgiveness for his murderers, and surely this child prayed for her father to come to the truth and be forgiven.
It''s a hard thing, and it shows the kind of irrational hate that has deceived people in this evil "religion". In light of this, we ought to pray faithfully for the gospel to reach more and more in every Muslim country on earth!
Better to be converted to Christ, and gain heaven by a marytr''s death, than be thrown into hell forever.
Pray for the child''s mother!!

Ellie   8/14/2008 10:40 PM
124 .  It has begun
This story just kills me...just think what this girl must have went through by her own father. To peace keepers:, this is the hate for the west and it values, look what they did to their
daughter, imagine someone like you.....separate issue: watch Russia folks, this is what i was trying to show you months ago, a month ago who was even talking about Russia, tension will surely heighten between Israel, US, Russia, and Iran, Glory to God this is the time that many many scriptures were written about .... for those interested i am working furiously on a end time news comment board...I''ll let you know when it is open.
May God be with you
Amen and Amen

125 .  TO BKN
I am fully aware that She is in God''''s Presence.

I was just thinking about the meaning: Forgive them, they do not know what they do..

Is it true?

Melody   8/14/2008 9:45 PM
126 .  It is an extremely brutal fashion
of torture what happened to this poor girl who is ALSO our sister in Christ.

It’s worse and (once again) I cannot find appropriate words.

Vous qui êtes « père » ? How can you do such evil things? May be you didn’t hear her cry.. ? But
be aware, there are some cries in this world sooner or later you will have to face them.

BKN, I also was thinking about Stephen and I didn’t find an answer.

I SIMPLY CANNOT IMAGINE THAT THIS PEOPLE OF MOSLEMS KNOW WHAT THEY DO ?

127 .  saudi girl executed for becoming Christian
The Global Publishing Solutions, an arm of the State Department published calendars with pictures of Mosques, "perfect for Muslim outreach efforts, as well as office and event giveaways." I have a letter ready to fax them, protesting this, showing the article mentioned.
I am a Christian. I believe fully that those who curse Israel will be cursed, those that bless Israel will be blessed. Our Savior, Jesus, was a Jew. We respect and love the Jewish people.
Personally, I believe we have already entered "the last days," as spoken of in Daniel, Jeremiah, etc.
Ohlmert doesn''t speak for all Jews, Bush doesn''t speak for all Christians.
One on one, from one Christian to one Jew, I pray for you. I pray for peace for Jerusalem. But, there are many dark, dangerous, lethal days ahead for all alike. May God have mercy upon us.

carolyn richardson   8/14/2008 8:19 PM
128 .  Hi, Jim How a parent can do such a
horrible thing to their own child is as you said, purely demonic. How her mother must secretly grieve the loss of her daughter. This devilish religion is all about the men, it seems to me, to therefore to this poor escuse for a man, a daughter means nothing. Unless he should also come to Jesus, his punishment is going to be a horrible one, and deservedly so. Jesus said it would be better for such as this guy to have a millstone tied around his neck and be thrown in to a lake than to fall into the hands of God. Yes, it''s going to be particularly ugly for him and all those who do this to God''s little ones. God bless

131 .  Yes Carol...
In Gen. 14:13 Abraham is referred to as "Abram the Hebrew". He is the Father of all the Jews, and Spiritual Father of all of us in the Faith. He is a "Type" of our Heavenly Father when he was willing to offer his only son of promise, Isaac, as a sacrifice. The above article reveals the satanic nature of Islam. Oh, how a father can torture and murder his own daughter because she came to Faith in Christ can only be described in one word: Satanic!

Jim Borge   8/14/2008 7:51 PM
132 .  a victory for satan''s religion?
Not really, satan loses again, this young girl in sitting in glory with the one true God of the universe. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, The Undefeated God of all time. The God of the Jews and born again believers every where. We have all ready won the spiritual war and now we await for our Savior Jesus/Yeshua the Messiah of the Jews and my God. I praise Him and worship him, He won against His foe once again. I hope others in Islam would do the same. No virgins where they are going if they don''t repent and turn to the God of Creation. Want to see Israel for free? Go to www.road90.com and let me know what you think.

BENFOX   8/14/2008 7:43 PM
133 .  Sigvard, Abraham was the grandfather
of the first man to be called Israel, or the first Jew, so technically, wouldn''t that make him among the first Jews? You are right in that Jews are not the only ones permitted to call Him Lord. God gave His Son Jesus as the final sacrifice for all our sins. John 3:16 says as much ''for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son..........'' , not just Israel or the Jewish nation, and further, Jesus also said (my own words here) that not all who are called Jews are of God. That''s pretty clear, isn''t it! Just as we gentiles are grafted into the Jewish olive tree so can Jews who come to faith in Jesus can be grafted back into it. I don''t think most here have a false sense of pride, they (as do I) simply support God''s chosen land and His chosen people, just as God said we should do. God bless

Carol   8/14/2008 6:59 PM
134 .  Saudi girl killing
To kill someone because they don''t have the same belief system is murder. If you want to know if a religon is the true one just look at the fruit. What does it produce? If killing someone because they don''t believe like you do,or lying is a big part of a religion then it is not the true one. Jesus said that two aspects of Satan''s nature is murder, and lying. For a father to kill his own daughter just because she doesn''t believe the way he does is murder. Look in history, and see how Islam from it''s very beginning has murder as it''s number one motivation.

beautm51   8/14/2008 6:44 PM

Shalom Alechem:
Another example of the loving muslim religion being executed. Talk about a demonic, devil driven religon and you have islam and the unholy prophet.

Milton Evans   8/14/2008 6:10 PM
136 .  is Israel alone entitled to call on the Lord ?
The Lord never said. that only Israel is
allowed to call Him Lord, so do not
call Him the God of Israel. The Lord
gave knowledge of Himself to everyone,
Jew, Gentile and Non=Jew.
Abraham was not a Jew, but still was
chosen as a friend of God, because he
was a human, how the Lord had
intended human kind to be on the
day of creation. So he was far more
God fearing than many Jews with
their many jewish traditions, never
demanded by Him. So stop the
false pride that blinds you, as Yeshua
already pointed out.

Sigvard von Brevern   8/14/2008 6:10 PM
137 .  Also Amen islam is not of GOD,
Mohomo hijacked the arab people and made a religion unto satan, because the arabs followed Ismale and he followed abraham his fathers way, Satan used mohomo to start his cult islam is not a religion but a cult and I will debate and muslim who is willing most aren''t because they know deep down inside the koran is nothing more than toilet paper. How can you say the koran is book from god and peace when every chapter contradicts the prior. I don''t think God contradicts hisself on man does.
GOD BLESS AND PEACE ALWAYS IN YESHUA. Matthew

Matthew Joseph   8/14/2008 5:54 PM
138 .  AMEN, you seem to have a screw loose
or 2 (or 2000).Your hatred speaks for itself. Frank was not ''ranting''. He was stating facts. Islam if not about peace. Russia is not about peace. The only peace they want is ''p-i-e-c-e''. A piece here, a piece there till Islam has the whole of Israel and ultimately the world, and Russia the whole of Europe. Bush and his cohorts do not understand they kind of "peace" muslims are after, and maybe they don''t really care. All they want is a feather in their cap that they "brought peace to the middle east". JESUS is the only one who will bring peace, and it will be at the end of the age when he destroyes His enemies. You''d better get onboard the ole gospel train, because it''s movin'' out of the station.

140 .  This is how the religion began in the first place.
And lesser forms of it are holding millions of others, under the threat of eternal...death.

People need to look higher for their hope, and only take God''s Word.

I am so sorry this girl had to suffer so, but like Stephen, in just a moment or two...was standing in God''s Presence.
