Muslims urinate on Torah scrolls in Hebron

Jewish worshippers returning to Hebron's Cave of the Patriarchs after Muslims were given exclusive access to the holy site at the weekend reported that the cabinet containing their Torah scrolls had been urinated on.

One Jewish resident of Hebron told Israel National News that he and several other men had to move the cabinet to another part of the room because of the strong smell of urine in the area where it is usually positioned.

Additionally, green Hamas flags were found placed in the windows that mark the burial sites of Abraham, Isaac, Sara, Rebecca and Leah.

The Cave of the Patriarchs is split into Jewish and Muslim sections, as both groups revere Abraham.

Several times a year, the holy site is given over to one or the other group exclusively to mark special holy days. Muslims were given exclusive access to the Cave of the Patriarchs on Friday to mark their holy month of Ramadan.

Another Jewish resident of Hebron said that some damage to Jewish religious articles or the Jewish side of the site is found every time the Muslims take over.

Hi again Bob!

There is an erroneous teaching amongst Christians called "Nicer than Jesus". These ones criticizing you apparently follow this teaching. They don''t know the whole counsel of G-d apparently. Read Luke 19:45 "Then He (Jesus) went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, saying to them, "It is written, ''My house is a house of prayer'', but you have made it a den of thieves.'' If it was one of their daughters raped by a Muslem or one of their son''s whose head was cut off by these mad men, they wouldn''t be criticizing you for your righteous anger that you are feeling. Everybody expresses anger differently and at least you have the courage to express your anger the way you did, when most people on here criticizing you are probably thinking it but too afraid to say it. Hi! I can totally understand and relate to your anger regarding this despicable act these crazy animals (actually lower than animals) did to the Jews by urinating. I feel angry about it too. The Muslims have given no scientific,cultural,historic or other benefit tohumanity. they have stolen everything from everyone else. In the Dark Ages it was Ireland who maintained and developed civilization for the World. Two wrongs don''t make a right

The Islamic reaction to Israeli artifacts is wrong. The claim , by ''Jacob'', about the Torah is a lie. I say this a a gentile Christian and Bible student. BoB Smythe''s postings should be removed. They are not justified by the lies of the enemy. I have no resoect for the Qu''ran or Mohammed, but I do have respect for many people who have been duped or terrified by this religion. More pandering by Olmert & ilk who are too afraid to stand up for Jewish holy sites and restrict access by Arabs. If Israel can''t protect it, then move the whole place to Jerusalem proper. They moved Abu Simbel in the 1960s, they can move this place, too. Obviously the Arabs won''t miss it too much if they only use it as a latrine.
