Palestinians accept Olmert peace offer

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday said that the recent peace offer made by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is enough to get a final status agreement signed, but recognized that the outgoing Israeli leader does not have the ability to implement the proposal.

"We could have peace in two days" if Olmert's offer could be implemented, Abbas told a group of Muslim clerics at the tail end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Olmert made his offer in a Rosh Hashanah interview with Israel's largest daily newspaper, Yediot Ahronot.

In the interview, Olmert said he was ready to withdraw from 93 percent of Judea and Samaria, including nearly all of eastern Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley. Olmert offered to make up the difference by giving the Palestinians 5.5 percent of sovereign Israeli land.

The proposed deal also included a full withdrawal from the Golan Heights.

Abbas said he hopes that Olmert's proposal will form the foundation of peace talks with his successor. The Palestinian leader said he would like to view Olmert's offer as a peace "deposit."

The international community tried to make sure that will be the case when the Middle East Quartet last week insisted that all Israeli offers, no matter how tentative, be made binding.

Meanwhile, Israeli opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu reiterated in a holiday interview with Israel National News that the nation does not have a viable Palestinian peace partner with whom to make a deal.

In another holiday interview with Israeli Internet portal Walla!, Netanyahu said that if he regains the prime minister's chair he will actually increase Jewish settlement activity and shelf all talk of a peace deal leading to the creation of a Palestinian Arab state.

There is no hope of a viable final status peace deal at this point, said Netanyahu, so the best thing to do is forge an economic arrangement with the Arabs of Judea and Samaria.

Polls conducted over the past year consistently show that Netanyahu will win the next national election by a healthy margin.

Iam not pro this or pro that. I am pro all. We are all called to be part of the family of God no mater what background we are from. We are all same before God. we are all imperfect after Adam sinned. But in His mercy we all have chance to be saved. I know that Jews, Christians and Muslims have so much in common yet they are so divided. But God loves them as well as He loves Jews and Christians, no matter how much you will be denying that. Is God giving rain only for one group or is there a rain for all? Good and bad. Then again if I have mercy in my heart towards Muslims and believe that God is blessing them as well what is that to bother you so much? Because you hate them. You should not if you are true Christian. With love you will go much further and you will not be in danger of your fearing hell.

One would think you have muslim loved ones and you cannot accept the fact that they are out of the will of God. You cannot bend God to suit your needs. You must be plyable in His hands. You must be the clay. He is the potter....not the other way around. He must be the one to shape and mold you into a useful vessel. God, since he (thinks) he has the authority to take away from the word of God by declairing some verses to be implanted heretic verses.

First of all, Ishmael was born hundreds of years before Islam was d. Mohammad d Islam 700 years after the birth of Christ. We don''t know who Ishmael''s seed worshipped as there is no records of that. The only blessing God gave to him was that he would become a great nation. Then he & his mother were sent away. Issac was the only son from Sarah, Abraham''s wife. The only legal son, the only son comming from a moral . could you please tell me which God, True or not true blessed Ishmael in the Bible? I thought they worship that same God who blessed their father Abraham and his first born son Ishmael same as second son Isaac? Even when Isaac was promised Ishmael was still first born.

Also one interesting thing found not in Quran but in Torah is this one: ''Then spoke God, saying to Abraham: "Take thy son, thy (firstborn) only son, and come up the mountain to sacrifice him." Gen.22:2
When Abraham had "only son" it was Ishmael for Ishmael was several years older then Isaac. Isaac was never only son of Abraham. It was always the firstborn son who was dedicated to God in a special way. In this case was it Ishmael who was to be sacrificed? "TAKE NOW YOUR ONLY SON.." It is either "son Isaac" without "ONLY" or it is "only son Ishmael"? This is a dilemma which we can not sol

I hate their satanic god, their terroristic behavior, their lack of respect for the people of God, for the Jewish people, and their lack of ackknolwdgement that anyone who is not muslim has the right to even live. I would love for them to be converted to faith in the TRUE God of Abraham, Issac & Jacob, and His Son Yeshua/Jesus. I know muslims who are very nice people, they just have the wrong God. Two years supply of wood and 9000 gallons of propane, my own well with hand pump, Seeds and ammo, out door privy and kerosene for lights. Several large crocks and rock salt to put the meat in when the power goes. No gold or silver tho. The greedy bastards would steal that if they found out you had it. I do need to spend more time on my knees. Perhaps you should as well in order to get rid of that hate you have towards Muslims. Perhaps God would show you more of His love for all people then and you would follow Christ teaching of love rather then opposite. As an example of spending more time on our knees we could look at those in Muslim world where true Muslims spend time on their knees 5 times every day, praying to God. There is someting good in every religion we can learn from.

Jesus Christ IS Peace. It isn''t the land that Satan wants IT IS HEAVEN he is after. (I can''t say that without adding immediately..NEVER HAPPEN!!)

Believing IN Jesus Christ the Messiah, is not BELIEVING Him. The mind believes IN, the heart has a dead human spirit that needs LIFE from God. When that dead human spirit is made alive by the Spirit of Christ, then one can truly BELIEVE HIM.

Israel will only find temporary peace, because it is GOD that they need, not someone to stop Iran, and all Arabs from destroying them. God has allowed this to get to this point.

He will demonstrate His great power very soon. There can be no trust in MEN, but in GOD.

I pray he doesn''t do this horrible thing before they can get him out of office.But, on the other hand, it may be in God''s plan for the coming battle. If God''s people are not in the West Bank, Israel can blow away their enemies who will attack from there.I heard somewhere to watch for Israel to move their people out of that area, because that may well be Israel preparing to nuke thrie enemies. Of course, that was years ago, and Israel didn''t have a weakling like Olmert in office for one thing. Just a thought.
