European plan to take leading role in Mideast worries Israel

With an incoming US president who intends to shift course on American foreign policy, an internal European Union document indicates that Europe plans to seize a leading role in Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking from next year.

Much to the dismay of senior Israeli officials, the EU proposal obtained by Ha'aretz calls for heavy pressure on Israel to surrender control of the eastern half of Jerusalem and halt the growth of the Jewish population in Judea and Samaria (the so-called "West Bank").

Regarding Jerusalem, the "EU Action Strategy for Peace in the Middle East" demands that Israel immediately permit the Palestinian Authority to reopen Orient House, its de facto foreign ministry in the Israeli capital, as the cornerstone for a future agreement.

According to the terms of the original interim peace deal signed between Israel and the Palestinians in 1993, the newly created Palestinian Authority was barred from operating in Jerusalem in any official capacity.

Nevertheless, Israel allowed Orient House to operate for years before shutting the office down in 2001 in response to escalating Palestinian terrorism in the city.

The EC needs to butt out. Israel - all of it belongs to them by God''s decree. No splitting Jerusalem & no land give, for heavens sake the Arabs are a greedy bunch they already have over 99% of the middle east! Guess what it is they don''t want the Palestinians who are controlled by terriorists?

It says and the Word was YHWH!

Then In verse 14 it says

1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

Your translation says that Jahveh became flesh and dwelt among us!!

Joel 2:32 or Rom.10:13 you will find that salvation is in JAHVEH''s Name. Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of JAHVEH shall be saved." Paul only used words from Old Testament as he has done many times. It means that salvation is in The Father God and in the Son. Just because Christ is Mediator we can not say that God is not The Saviour.

I agree with your statement that we must be saved by the Name JAH. There are two names starting with these three letters, JAHVEH and JAHSHUA. Jahveh is our Saviour and He is saving us trough His Son so in a way both of them have same title. Acts 4:10 "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of JAHSHUA the Messiah of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom JAHVEH raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole." Yes God appointed His Son as a mediator between men and God and we can not be saved by other way. However there is salvation in God''s Name too. If you look at Joel 2:32 or Rom.10:13 you will find that salvation is in JAHVEH''s Name. Romans 10:13 For

First in the text what was proclaimed? Holiness! Isaiah had stepped into the presence of God and guess what? He was going to be toast! Crispy Critter! The smoke began to fill the room. Why! Consuming fire! Sin!

Galatians 2:16
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.


We cannot be made just by the keeping of the law! Human merit cannot and will not bring “any part” of our salvation!

for our "God is a consuming fire."

Because God is Holy, He by His nature consumes sin. He cannot tolerate sin. God hates sin! When God and sin occupy the same space, sin is toast big time! And if we enter His presence with sin, what will happen. Toast! Crispy Critters!

When knowledge of sin is made known to us then the solution is obvious, God’s justice must be satisfied. We have to be made Holy.

How can we become Holy! By self-effort, I just start trying to obey the Law. No. You can never keep the law. It is impossible! We can’t drive 55!

Was the Law given for attaining salvation? No! Read the text again.

If we are honest we have to admit we have sinned sometime in our life. Therefore by this definition we are sinners! And if we refuse to admit it, we are a liar! No win situation! This presents us with a greater problem, a Holy God!

The Law and The Sacrifice

When God brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt what was the first thing that He gave them?

The Law! The Ten Commandments! The Law came first. God commanded them to be Holy! Were they? Could they do it?

Exodus 20
And God spoke all these words, saying:
“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
“You shall have no other gods before Me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

I am one of those persons that came through that process. I did it all, I mocked, I laughed at, I accused, etc, etc.

God has ordained that by saved people preaching to the lost people the gospel of peace. We as believers have to invade the belief system, “the space” of the unsaved. They do not want us there. We are trespassing! But God commands us to do it. So this job is not an easy job, for some will get killed literally! The Apostles all died for the faith. But if we truly love as we have been loved, we will lay down our lives!

Preaching of the Cross

1 Corinthians 1:18-19
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

“ I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

But what is the message of the cross and how can it produce this “new birth”?

1 Corinthians 1:18-19
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

“ I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

Coming to the point in our lives where we finally realize that we need God that we need to be saved, from ourselves, from death and decay, it will always be a painful process. Just like childbirth is painful, admitting that we are helpless sinners, deserving the wrath of God, is a humiliating insult to our human pride. We hate to be corrected! And if busted for being wrong, or in sin, we start blaming someone or something trying to avert guilt. When this fails we lash out at the messenger, spewing forth venomous words of hate. But believe me it is not the messenger we hate! It is God that we hate! The Holy Spirit is convicting us, by the preaching of the messenger! How do I know all this?

If the spirit is dead or inactive it obviously needs to be made alive. What happens at the physical birth? The first step is the mothers breaking of the water. The baby usually comes forth not breathing. Many times they need a gentle slap on the behind, to start the breath. The initial gasp of air is then mixed with the sounds of a crying baby, and mother, and the sound of the father hitting the floor! Tears of joy, mixed with the pain of child birth! After the father is picked up off the floor and revived the family can unite and embrace in arms of joy and love.

Before we can enter the kingdom of God we need to be physically born. Born of the water! That which is born of the flesh is flesh!

With the spirit of this child being inactive or dead (not functioning), then it needs to be born, or made alive, made active. How is this done? By simply believing in the Lord Jesus Christ! By willfully accepting, even without understanding, that you need the life sustaining spiritual food from God Himself

Born Again

There is that term that the unsaved seems to loathe. Those born-again, know it all, Christian Bible thumpers! What does this term mean? Why did Jesus use this term to describe the salvation process? If we read the passage carefully, keeping in our mind the condition of our spirit as described up to this point, with the Ephesians text, then maybe we can make sense of this curious illustration.

John 1:1-15
There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit,

This explains the state of humanity that we are currently experiencing, plus things of the past, and things of the future. You see, it is not Gods fault that it has happened, it is ours! We are guilty!

The Redemption and Glorification

Ephesians 2:1-3
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

We have proven that the Bible teaches that we have been born with a dead spirit. Why would we need to be “made alive” if we are already sucking oxygen! Why does our spirit need to be resurrected! What is this “born again” stuff? What does this all mean? I am so confused!

Well, let’s try to work this out step by step.

2) Death came to Adam’s spirit instantly! “In the day that you eat of it you shall surely die!” His spirit died the exact instant that he partook of the tree. He was cut off from a relationship with God, for it was Adam’s spirit which makes this comm possible! Like our television sets act if we cut the feed line. Cut the satellite TV signal- no communication, no picture, and no voice! God’s Spirit ceases to communicate the life sustaining spiritual food that we “must have”. No comm , no fellowship, and no friendship! Since Adam’s curse was spiritual death his offspring were born spiritually dead. When you are conceived, you become a “living soul”, but the spirit that you have is dead for you have been conceived in sin. Not that act was sin, but that your parents are sinners.

The curse resulted in two conditions of this “living soul”.
1) The body and all creation became subject to decay and futility. Adam did not immediately die physically. It took some 900 years… but decay leading to physical death began immediately upon his act of disobedience. (Romans 8: 18-30) This body of mine and yours will cease to function at a point in time for it is not a self-sustaining vehicle. This is called “physical death”. My “breath” or “soul and spirit” must depart this vehicle and return to the maker. He has d two temporary resting places for these two parts of our being, awaiting the time that He will a new model for us to buzz around in, or fry in! Our resting place “designation” will be determined by “one choice” that we “have” to make in our “designated lifetime”!

The point of this text that we will deal with is through one man death entered. The law of sin (slavery to sin) began to reign in us all! Sin is the ruler of Cecil Murphy and you! We obey the doctrine in our hearts. Nobody had to teach Cecil and yourself how to sin, it came quite naturally! Nobody had to teach Cain how to murder Abel. (We will deal with the other part later… that of Jesus Christ.)

Death

Next comes the condition of your soul, body and spirit. The scriptures declare that we are a “living soul”. Just like many references made to God in the Bible the author of the Bible (Holy Spirit) does not always say Father, Son, Holy Spirit. He simply says God (Elohim), likewise the human being is referred as a “soul”.

Original Sin

Thus the doctrine of “original sin” entered the cosmos. Because Adam sinned against God he became a cursed creature, and the sinful nature, or propensity to sin entered the world. The curse that Adam brought upon himself has “genetically” been passed down to me and you! So you are going to become a slave to sin no matter how hard you try not to, it’s in your being! We “all” fall into some kind of bondage, to the deeds of the flesh! Do you need proof? Just ask a young child to eat his spinach! What will be the response! If he is not corrected what will be his response through out his lifetime?

This is the account of the fall of Adam and Eve, and the curse that came upon all humanity because of their rebellion. This was a test that God subject them to, all the while, knowing that they would fail the test.

Notice the commandment was given to the man Adam. It was his responsibility to convey the commandments to first his wife and then the rest of his family. His responsibility was to uphold and enforce the law of God. If he would have been like “most of us men” he would not have “listened to his wife” and ate! But when he did eat of the fruit who did he blame? God! “The woman you gave me”! (Thus we have the first psychologist. Blame someone else!) But his responsibility has not changed for just like each member of the Godhead has Their roles, functions, and duties, so does mankind and the family unit. Co-equal in all aspects, different duties and functions. The father and mother have different functions. Obvious! Just study the anatomy of the male and female body! Helloooo!

If he insists on proclaiming the distortions he is a false prophet (spokes person for God), and must be identified and resisted. Jesus Christ is not one of many God’s, or little g’s. He is the one and only true God, and has the only one true way to His presence!

Notice that the Hebrew has TWO words for ''one.''

Genesis 22:2 uses ''Yachid'' to speak of Abraham''s ''one and only son''.

Genesis 2:24 uses ''echad'' to state ''the two shall become ''one'' flesh.''

It is this latter use, ''united one'' that is used in Deuteronomy 6:4. ''United One'' just as God says in Gen. 1:26, "let Us" man in Our image..., or Gen. 11:7, "Let Us" go confuse their languages... Many other such examples in Scripture.

The Old Testament revelation of God’s NAME to Moses was the declaration “I AM”. This was Jehovah! Notice He did not say I WAS or I WILL BE. Why? When dealing with scriptural interpretation if the Bible makes the declaration, “No one has seen God at any time” this is absolute truth. What are we to do with the fact that “Jehovah ate with Abraham” and “Moses saw God face to face”. Simple He who is in the bosom of the Father has “explained Him”! This would have to be what is called a Theophany or pre-incarnate manifestation of the “Word of God”, of Jesus! Since God is “Spirit” it has to be!

There are verses in psalms and many other books referring to the “hand of God”. Does this mean God has a body? Many of these refer to Him holding the nation of Israel. This would mean that He has extremely large hands, and yet another verse describes people being covered under His wings. Is He part bird also? These are metaphors! The simple meaning of these passages is being protected, held, and covered by His powerful nature, like a mother bird protects her young!

He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge

God the Father

The first Person of the Triune God is invisible, without form or body. He is Spirit. He orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace. As the only absolute and omnipotent Ruler in the universe, He is sovereign in creation, providence, and redemption. His fatherhood involves both His designation within the Trinity and His relationship with mankind. So as we move on to the New Testament and when the people were being taught by the apostles when the term Yahweh Elohim (Jehovah God), they believed that the title was equal to saying, “Father-Son-Holy Spirit”. Yahweh Elohim

Yahweh Elohim is Hebrew for Jehovah God. In the Old Testament, the writers referred to the same God in various ways. 1)Elohim is a generic term for God and who the writer is talking about is determined by the context. If the writer was referring to the pagan gods of other nations, he would say elohims. These gods only existed in the imaginations of the pagan believers. Sometimes the writer used it in reference to men, not saying that they were big supernatural G’s, but simply rulers over other men, remember context! Did you know that you are a triune being? This is what the Bible declares! Think about it, you have a body which is the vehicle that transports your invisible soul and invisible spirit! You are a body, soul, and spirit! I can see your physical body but I cannot see your soul or your spirit for it is invisible. Notice the plural nature of God in Genesis, “Us” and “Our”. We were d in His triune image.

The same is true with God. God has revealed Himself in His Word the Bible, as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There are two major doctrines of Christianity that separate it from all other religions, and also distinguishes it from counterfeit Christianity, 1) the nature of God, and 2) His way for salvation. Revealed means the hidden made known.

Your first question will be, “how can God be one, and also be three”? This does not seem rational. That does not fit what I know to be… 3 cannot be 1, 1 cannot be 3.

into 10 kingdoms or areas, From Daniel I see a global world government as were all the kingdoms mentioned in Gods Word. So on a global basis some will be strong and some will be weak, iron and clay which don''t mix. Only one place can bring this about, the UN which every country in the world belongs to and when I was there, they have a map of the 10 kingdoms or groups, I have seen it. I believe the anti-christ will one day be the Sec. Gen of the UN, it is new age, it hates Israel and if the world is in aray, it could be the seat of the OWG and the anti-christ, just food for thought. There isn''t anything in the EU that resembles the OWG, doesn''t even come close. Could God make it so in the end times? Yes but, we already have it put together in NYC, it is called the UN. "angles" do not have wings. they are composed of two intersecting lines. It is not clear to me that all angels must have wings either. I believe this is pretty clear anthropomorphic description of something we know little about. If you see this as a crutch for pantheistic belief, go right ahead and believe it. You can also ignore passages like Isaiah 43:

You are absolutely right of course. Ther is no meaningful conversation about spiritual matters to be had with someone who does not have the Holy Spirit indwelling them. I have quoted scripture to CD time & time again, but he conveniently forgets that. He alswys goes back to the same verses speaking of One God, ignoring the Triunity of God.
Have you wondered if he was ''converted'' by Rebekah since they are so similar in their hatred? I have!

It is going to be a very rude awakening for them and many others when Jesus returns to earth a the end of the Trib and they see Him in His Glory & see His scarred hands & feet & KNOW then that He IS Lord, and that they were wrong.

When he refered to Jesus in the slanderous way he did, I closed his post and am done with him.

but He is not alone. If I only read the OT I would belong to the Jewish faith. But I am Born Again and grafted on by reading and believing in the NT which was written for the Gentiles. The majority of Jews do not believe in the NT because they are still waiting for the Messiah to come. He has already been, He is our Salvation and one day very soon, the blind will see and He will come again to rule!

The United States is going to change policy, the European will slip in and take over the peace process and who is Israel supposed to trust? Whether we change policy or not, we were just as unsuccessful as everyone, not that anyone else really stepped in as fore=runners before. Is it possible that Israel simply goes along because they''re constantly poked and prodded by outside influence, but perhaps they know better what real peace over there is going to take and they''d rather defend their sovereignty rather than lay down for anyone else trying to play God?
