Saudi, Iranian clerics call for attacks on Jews everywhere

Leading Saudi and Iranian religious figures on Sunday urged Muslims everywhere to attack anything with a link to Israel in response to Israel's assault on the Gaza terrorist infrastructure.

In a fatwa posted to a Saudi news website linked to the kingdom's Shiite community, popular cleric Sheikh Awadh al-Garni said it is legitimate for all Muslims living anywhere to immediately attack Israelis, Israeli interests or anything that has a link to Israel, like local Jews.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a similar edict, declaring that any Muslims killed while attacking Israelis or Israeli interests would be considered "martyrs."
