Palestinians blocking Israeli economic gestures

The Palestinian Authority is blocking Israel from making significant economic gestures and from advancing the overall peace process, complained Israeli Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom on Wednesday.

At a ministerial committee meeting during which it was decided to extend the opening hours of the border crossing between PA-controlled Samaria and Jordan, Shalom said, "Israel wants to promote economic peace, and I am calling for increased cooperation from the Palestinians."

Shalom noted that for years a number of economic projects that would provide a major boost to the Palestinians' quality of life have been delayed because of the Palestinian leadership's refusal to work with Israel.

That lack of cooperation was gotten much worse since the election of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu's insistence on Palestinian reciprocity and on testing the Palestinians' willingness to live in true peace by first moving forward on an economic track has resulted in Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas refusing to meet with him. Abbas' subordinates have followed his example, or his orders, and likewise refuse to meet with their Israeli counterparts.

The Palestinians insist that the only part of the peace process that matters to them is the Israeli surrender of lands they claim as their own. That position would seem to belie Palestinian claims that their terrorist behavior is a direct result of their economic conditions.

I am reading my Bible all the time. The sites I was sharing with you are not from WT, not one of them.
Having said that I must say that any JW member is many times better then any trinitarian. Trinity is the chief of all heresies in Christianity.

Well spoken. In our flesh, we tend to judge a whole group of people by the actions of a few, or at least a minority of that group. We judge teens on the bad behavior of a relative few, drivers, minorities, religions, all are typically judged that same way.

There are many good people who happen to be muslim and who are thirsting for truth, and many are turning to Jesus in these last days, praise God!!

Jaroslav? You know he will not listen to reason about the Trinity. His cult has complete control over his mind (that''s why they call them cults). Only the Holy Spirit can change him, and only if he opens himself up to that change. But, he is afraid to open himself up to the Holy Spirit, because cults brainwash their members. They ostrasize those who dare entertain beliefs out of line with their meaders. That''s why we hear of mass suicides, etc in their communes. They are the blind leading the blind - right into the ditch.

God wants to be in you. Yahshua was and is and always will be The Son of God, the only begotten one.
How Was He conceived? By His Father, God Almighty YAHWEH. By God''s own Spirit, by Father''s Spirit and not by any third person. That is the blasphemy to even think of. Matt.1:20 Luke 1:35.
Christ was sin free-perfect and He said that we should be perfect as well. Matt.5:48. So if we are to be perfect as God is perfect how much more the only begotten Son of God was perfect? Never the less God is immortal and can not die. 1 Tim.1:17 6:16. The Son of God/Son of Man died for us. Man died for men. 1Tim.2:5. He become a man and was and is a mediator between God and men.

I have never been comfortable ( not even when I was a pre-trib) with the interpretation of II Thes. 2:6-7, i.e. that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit. I know the view very well, and there are a number of others that I reject. But I had never looked at one view (that which I first learned through Marvin Rosenthal), namely, that the Restrainer could very well be Michael the Archangel. What do you think. It seems to make a lot of sense to me. Compare, Dan 10:12-14, 20-21. Also Dan. 12:1. Michael seems very much to be battling the forces of evil, restraining the antiChrist until the time is right, especially in Persia. He will be taken out of the way of the anti-Christ during the tribulation. But he will "stand for the children of thy people." It is very interesting to look at. Notice also how Michael contends with the Devil in Jude vs.9.

I thank you for your reply. You seem to have a working knowledge of Biblical faith and a genuine heart for Spiritual things. I am glad to hear you "love" both the Jew and the Muslim with a burden for their salvation. There are many different beliefs here obviously. Some are Messianic, some Charismatic to varying degrees, many believe in a 7 year tribulation. Sometimes Benfox, whom I also appreciate very much, and with whom I discuss civilly the timing of the rapture. I may be wrong but I was wondering (not for the purpose of criticizing or jumping down your throat) but your posts sound Amil or Postmil. But I have never heard persons of that theological persuasion come out in favor of Israels right to the land. I do not wish my question to be offensive, or to lead you into an argument, or to take sides. Do you believe the world''s current events are leading up to a 7 year tribulation? Many here do, including myself. God bless.

a thing as a palistinian unless they are Jews, I believe there are many arabs who claim to be, because of arafat and his lie''s, Jews haven''t stolen any land or taken any land, the arabs left on their own in 1948, no body ran them off, they believed those who thought they would destroy Israel, God didn''t let that happen and never will. Do I believe God loves them, Yes, Do I believe He wants to see them saved? Yes, does He tell us to lay our heads under the sword to prove we love them? No. I have witnessed to many arabs and continue to do so, for what reason? Too see them saved, have lead some to the Lord and at a great price for them. I don''t try to convert them into a religious movement, but the saving Grace of Jesus Christ, I use the Gospel, not deciet or lie''s about we are all the same that call ourselves christian, the truth will tell in the end, God Bless You and Yours:

are children of God, question salvation of those who disagree with their human leader, he talks about love and then attacks anyone who would disagree, have to follow his line or your a dirty name or not saved. Many have fallen for his love feast that goings along with false teaching that started up in the early 1900''s, that is on them and him? If you point out from the Bible what a false doctrine is your the problem, not the false doctrine? None of them want to research the doctrine''s, would find the truth and that doesn''t seem to be important, love is more important even if it is giving into false doctrine? Jesus corrected those teaching what is wrong, they can do everything he did, except question the false teachers. I know BNK means the few of us that point this out but, we answer to the real God, not the one they choose to follow. Thank God that He supplied the solution - a Jewish man who was a descendent of King David. Through the death and resurrection of this man Jesus, God seeks to bring reconciliation between Jew and non-Jew, by adopting us into one family, with Him as our Father and Jesus as our brother – as Jesus said to Mary at the tomb “go to My brothers and say to them ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” – John 20:17. “Now therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God…with Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone.” – Ephesians 2:19-20.

Maybe you think this battle cannot be won – it can be won. The army of Saul fled before the giant Goliath as he taunted and insulted them for many days. Today many Christians are fleeing before the face of another giant called Islam who proudly stalks up and down the line, taunting and insulting them, challenging them to do battle with him. I believe that God will raise up men of faith like David who would say – “What! Are you going to listen to that uncircumcised meathead? He will go down before the power of God” (My paraphrase, sorry). You know the rest, and Islam will suffer the same fate as Goliath.

A man-made peace initiative will fail, because it’s not a physical battle between nations, but a spiritual battle between satan (who is using the followers of the moon god allah) and God. He cannot hurt God, so he tries to hurt the apple of God’s eye, which is us. This is the spiritual battle we need to fight - with intercession and prayer and fasting – to pull down the spiritual stronghold called Islam, and release the Palestinian and other Arabs from the bondage they are under. Only then will there be a ‘peace initiative’.

More like – what is God’s position on that? Now that would be the question to explore, because people’s positions on this - including my own - count for nothing if they don’t line up with the word of God.
I believe it’s less of a ‘Palestinian’ issue, and more of an ‘Islamic’ one. Palestinians are people, like you and me – real people with real feelings and with real families facing real problems. Unfortunately they’ve been deceived by a religion that has abused them, lied to them and removed their freedom of thought. Unfortunately also, the Palestinian people have been used as a lightning rod by the surrounding Islamic nations which have sought to exploit their ‘brothers’ to their own end.

Paul said that he is talking about Christs incarnation my friend but he is still God. The Word Jesus had to go through certain restrictions in becoming man that is why he had to grow in knowledge as a child and he did not exercise his divine right to know the day of his return to earth. But he is still God and he says now all power and autority is given to me. look at those scriptures in Revelation where Christ is honoured along with the Father and think what the Lord says in Isaiah 40 "I am the Lord to whom will you equall me" and I am the Lord and beside me is no Saviour"
and then look what Paul and Peter says that Jesus is our Saviour.

I thought I was in some kind of nightmare, but obviously not. Well, my position on Israel and the Palestinians ... maybe left for another post, when I have more time. I do promise to bring you my thoughts. I have a love for Israel which may in part stem from my Dutch roots. I lived in Amsterdam for 3 years, and saw the ''Jewish section'''' of Amsterdam, and heard how it had been emptied out by the Nazis, and only 1 in 10 Jews came back after WW2. Nonetheless, God is true and does not lie, and His heart is for the nation of Israel and He has brought a remnant back to the land He gave to the descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as an everlasting possession. I feel privileged that I''ve been grafted into the cultivated olive tree, having previously been a part of a wild olive tree. I know there will be no peace until the Prince of Peace sits on His throne in Jerusalem.

Ben, one way this treaty could be signed with the AC is for one of the provisions to state that if Israel will agree to give up half of Jerusalem, then they will have the right to rebuild the Temple just North of or abutting the Dome of the Rock Mosque. It says in Zach 12 that half of Jerusalem will go into captivity and the women will be raped. The Pals and Arabs will go along with this deal because they will have already planned the invasion to take it back. Another point to make, one of the Temple groups have done extensive studies & measurements of the Mount & Western Wall and believe that the Temple was actually built 100 ft North of the Mosque. If this is true, the Israeli''s could negotiate the deal and build the Temple. Another OPTION is that the covenant could be forced on Israel and in compensation for half of Jerusalem they get to rebuild the Temple. Come quickly Lord Jesus!!!!!

It''s a cycle. Everything in this world has one.

The "Anti-Christ" is a spiritual disease that overtakes humanity every so often. There are leaders, but not a central mythological figure as you suggest. Hitler was just a man. Nazism was the beast itself. It found deep roots in a people that were ready for change.

The ability to feel, compassion and empathy, are pushed to the back of the bus in this era.

Cold calculation and reason fills the void left behind.

We are in those times once again. Civilizations built on these principles tend to be war mongering and possessed by their desire for power.

Most of history is written in reflection of such days.

Remember how Hitler had his image posted everywhere. Sides of buildings every where were plastered with Hitler in uniform. Then how everyone when around with the hail Hitler homage. The Muslims do the same with their leaders like Saddam Hussein and A-Mad-Jihad (I like that sp). Remember the image of Saddam that was pulled down in Bagdad? That''s what I see the anti-Christ doing. He sets up an image of Himself in the temple (same as Romans did). He wants to humiliate the Jews. Wants them to bow down to him, heil Ahmadinijad, like they did Hitler, who is a hero of the Muslims anyway. Maybe he says he won''t kill them if they hale him. Also, think of what would be his instant hero status after taking control of Jerusalem.

Yes, I would agree with everything you said at 12:11AM. As far as the anti-Christ helping Israel build the temple, not sure. I too think there is going to be civil unrest in America. But I think it will happen as a result of a failed economy and hyper inflation. If Odama spends another trillion or prints out more money and the economy goes down further the dollar is going to become so devalued that inflation is going to skyrocket. When this happens farmers are going to go out of business so fast it will make your head spend. I am a retired commercial banker involved with farming entities and yrs ago the amount of farmers farming had gone down drastically from even a few yrs before. People have no idea have few farmers there are out there. It is razor thin margin and if even 20% go out, there will be food shortages here.

As far as the refugees being brought back to Israel, that will "NEVER" happen! Those people who left who left on their own because they didn''t want to live in a Jewish state or were forced to leave in 1948 would now be at least 61 years old. It is estimated that the total number who left was 15,000, but the ones who claim to be heirs total 1.5 miliion people, 90% under the age of 30. We all know what is happening here and so do the Israelis, they are not stupid.
What about all the Jews that were forced out of every Arab country in the Middle East. What is your plan for them? Are they and all of their heirs going to be allowed to return to their homes and their belongings. See next post

Because of all the aid that Abbas and the Gaza Strip recieve from the EU and the US. Abbas sits and lives in a PALACE in Jerusalem. Hamas is recieving funds from Syria and Iran to support that group and these funds are lining the pockets of Hamas people and purchasing arms. When all of Transjordan (an empty wasteland) was given to the Jews, Arabs squatters flooded into the region to keep the Jews out. Arab hatred of Jews goes way back before the modern nation of Israel. It is a hatred of Satan himself manifested through the religion of Islam for the distinct purpose of killing Jews and Christians. If all the Christians and Jews in the world were gone, Islam would have no purpose left but to kill each other, which they do regularly anyway.

It is commonly not understood that Jews were never completely removed from Israel. There has always been an indigenous population of Jews. But most modern day Palestinians are not indigenous to the land and were brought in by the British to do manual labor. But mostly the minds of all have been polluted with hate and violence. Many have tried. The Palestinians could if they would, find Israel to be their best friend. But Syria, Jordan, Iran, S. Arabia, and Egypt force them to remain as refugees so as to inflame the Islamic world and to be a thorn in Israel''s side. So, I blame the surrounding countries for all of the Palestinian problems. Why don''t the Armies and police forces of these countries come in to assist the Palestinians in throwing out the terrorist. It is because those countries are themselves involved in the Jihad which is against the whole world.

I don''t blame Israel for laying down some ground rules. They have been lied to by the U.S. and the Palistinians. Both have promised peace if only they give up the Gaza strip. Well they foolishly did and now they have missles being fired at them from that very place. That land belongs to God himself and no one has a right to give it away.
