Israel rebuffs Obama demand to surrender before negotiations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a demand by US President Barack Obama that he commit to a major expulsion of Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria prior to a renewal of peace negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.

According to Israeli media reports on Wednesday, Obama wanted to organize a major peace summit one month from now based on such an Israeli commitment. Even before the sides had a chance to sit down at the negotiating table, Israel was to surrender to all Arab demands to allow the creation of a Palestinian Arab state on every inch of land they claim.

A report in an Arabic-language newspaper indicated that the Palestinian Authority had informed Obama the peace process would not move forward until Israel was strong-armed into accepting those conditions.

At the same time, visiting US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice told Netanyahu that the White House expects more than just "lip service" from Israel regarding restarting the peace process.

Netanyahu has repeatedly stated his willingness to immediately restart talks with the Palestinians. He has issued only one precondition of his own, that the Palestinians finally honor their previous peace commitment to recognize Israel as the national home of the Jews.

I believe in God''s Word, all of it. Technically it is called the doctrine of verbal (meaning even down to the grammatical details) plenary (meaning in its totality) inspiration of the Word. Inspiration of course means "God breathed by God''s Spirit in such a way as to produce His exact Words, yet using the human author''s own vocabulary, style of writing, experiences and thoughs to do the actual writing. I really could address all your questions

with plenty of Scriptures. But it would serve no purpose for me. I never came here to prove my view. There are many who hold to it. It is growing quickly now. But this is not really the place for such a lengthy debate. Most of all the Scriptures are going to be interpreted according to the filter of your theology, which is Dispensationalism, which is indeed a kind of replacement theology. It is so funny these days when I hear well known Dispensationalists talk about the bad replacement theology and don''t realize they are part of that mindset. But pre-trib would be my second choice of beliefs. You interpret literally. That is good. Sorry I was all over place and not using Scripture as there was not time for that. But websites deal with these issues plenty and people can do their own research. Many Messianics are pre-wrath. And for some reason Dispensationalists and Messianics often don''t get along. We see in the 2nd Woe, Rev. 11:13 that there are some who are terrified and give God glory. I also see a call for some to come out of Babylon in 18:4. was in transition, yes. Do you think all Jews of faith became damned when the Holy Spirit came to dwell in believers? Do you think the New Covenant was made with the Church only when the Spirit came. I submit that the New Covenant was instituted before the Spirit fell. And I submit that God did not damn Jews who were of faith just because they had never heard of Jesus Christ. There were faithful Jews and Gentile proselytes who were "saved" before Paul ever got to them with the Gospel. They did not go from being faithful to suddenly being damned because the Spirit was descending in Jerusalem. Also, God is not somehow going backwards to the "OLD" during the Tribulation. Yes, Daniel''s seventy weeks pertains to the Israel as does the Tribulation. But the "Church" is not some kind of Institution, it just refers to a group of believers, part of the body of Christ. And Jews who come to faith in the Trib will indeed be part of that Church as are the Jews of the Old Testament.

Because Revelation places a strong emphasis on Israel during the tribulation and not on the church, most post-tribulationists have adopted a replacement theology view in order to maintain the focus on them.
Replacementism is the view that Israel, having failed God, has been replaced by the Church. The Church is now seen as spiritual Israel and spiritual Jerusalem. I do respectfully disagree, if I may. Rosenthal has passed away and of course cannot now speak to his critics. I read his book several times. Some of his ideas, like about the anti-Christ are speculative like everyone else''s. They do not make or break the pre-wrath doctrine. Yes, there are answers to all the reasonable objections you have. They are questions for debate. When I am in the middle of the Tribulation you can be sure that the coming of Christ will indeed be my hope and my salvation (AS Paul says, We are saved by hope). Yet, do I hope for His coming even now. I am tired of this world. I do hope it ends soon because it means His Kingdom is near even if I suffer intermediately. As far as I know, if there is a disaster of some kind, and possessions are free for all, looters are shot on the spot. Why? That makes me think of Israel. God allowed the Jews to be scattered for a time. The covenant was never broken with them. The time would come for them to return. Other nations going in to posses their land was not legitimate after their exile. The Jews are only coming home now.
