Muslims riot atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount, 3 Israelis hurt

Palestinian Arab Muslims on Sunday repeated attacked Israeli visitors and police officers atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount, resulting in a number of injuries and numerous arrests.

The violence began when police escorted a small group of Jewish tourists to the Temple Mount early Sunday morning. While there, the group was verbally assaulted, and caught on camera preparations by hundreds of young Arabs to launch attacks on Jews visiting the Western Wall below.

Shortly after, Israeli riot police stormed the Temple Mount and were assaulted by stones and firebombs. The officers managed to disperse the rioters and remove the piles of stones and cans of oil and gasoline they had stockpiled.

But while visiting with Muslim officials later in the day in an effort to prevent any further violence, the Israeli officers were again assaulted, resulting in the injury of at least three of the policemen.

Israeli riot police again stormed the facility and forcibly ejected the Arab troublemakers. Among the 15 rioters arrested by police was Hatam Abdel Khader, chief advisor on Jerusalem affairs to "moderate" Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Sporadic instances of stone throwing continued into the afternoon in various Arab-dominated portions of Jerusalem's Old City.

Israeli authorities said they were not surprised by the violence after Hamas spent the entire weekend warning all Arab Muslims in the area of what it called another attempt by "Zionists" to desecrate the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.

Nothing

The sun is sleeping like others in the their tents. Now I alone take in the air of burning piney scents. Sitting by the campfire, warmed by glows of ember, I stare into a ghostly play it haunts what I remember.

The straining campfire dims the memories also fade I feel the warmth with coldness make a most un-welcomed trade. Into the fire I toss a log and stir some memories worth my keep, And the flames like Russian Cossacks dance and jump and leap.

And curly wisps of smoke, taunting as they rise, Cause my mind to wander, as I follow with my eyes. I rake across the heavens I search them deep and far, Till disrupted by a crackle, some rude exploding char.

You are correct that the Western Wall was not part of the Temple. The Western Wall is a remnant of the retaining wall of the Temple Mount. Roman Army Barrack? Don''t fool yourself. I hope you did not get this from Herbert Armstrong. He was wrong on many counts.

The third Temple will sit exactly where the previous two Temples sat: ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT.

There many promises and they also pertain to the future restoration and salvation of Israel, which is what us Christians are seeing happening right now and praise God for. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament are clear that "The just shall live by faith." Abraham was told that his faith (not his goodness) was counted for righteousness. The great Rabbi Paul who was a Pharisee of Pharisees pointed out the Old Testament Scriptures when he said that all our own righteousness was as filthy rags. He said to the people in Ephesis, For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. He also said that if we confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus, and believe in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved.

I then went to Bible College, at first to be a missionary. then I went to another Moody Bible Institute) to study Pastoral Theology. Its a long story, but I taught for a while in a Christian school. I am only one who believes that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Jewish Messiah, who will soon come again to Zion. I believe the Jews (DNA) have a right to the land both because the UN gave it to them, and because of the Abrahamic Covenant. I am Christian, but Messianic in many of my beliefs. I love Israel and I see the people as a kind peace loving people who appreciate the beautiful things in life that God has given us. I wish I had studied Hebrew in Bible college, but I never did. This of course forced the police to enter the site.

What other than chaos would come out of such, if not the police handled the situation without too much damage.
