'Obama is our enemy,' say Israeli lawmakers

A group of lawmakers and rank-and-file members from Israel's ruling Likud Party met on Saturday to publicly blast US President Barack Obama as an enemy of Israel and the Jews over his heavy-handed pressure to stop building homes for Jews in areas claimed by the Palestinian Arabs.

Organized by Likud MK Dani Danon, the meeting was a follow-up to remarks made last week by Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat, in which she called the Obama administration "terrible" for Israel.

Danon also laid into Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for having implemented a partial settlement freeze in line with international demands, but noted that Livnat had correctly identified Obama as the main antagonist.

Yossi Naim, a regional council leader, summed up the feelings of those at the gathering:

"The Obama administration is an enemy of the Jews and the worst regime there ever was for the State of Israel."

Ron Nachman, mayor of the settler town of Ariel, concluded by announcing that he, for one, would not be complying with the government's decision to implement a 10-month freeze on all new building projects in the disputed territories.

Hi Eschatology Buff,

Obama certainly makes the concept of the Anti-Christ plausible to many. I have not heard him give a speech without it containing blatant lies - and many believe it - hook, line, and sinker.

Might I suggest to be careful about the Anti-Christ having to be from Rome or its empire. That may happen, but not because of anything it says in the Scripture. There is another time during the 70th week when the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Taking this event into consideration blows the doors widely open for whom Mr. Big Mouth may be - and a lot of commentators caught by surprise with red faces. I think it is the Lord''s way to blow all our minds with His awesome ways past finding out.

8 .  The Alter is God''s mark of ownership on the earth
It is holy, not profane. Jim Borge is right you cannot make something profane unless it is holy to begin with! Many Christians will have a cow over the sacrifices, thinking they are doing the right thing but they may be taken out of the picture on the spot. Better to keep one''s mouth shut if in doubt than to stick your foot in it up to your kneecap (unless you want to die).

Not all offerings on the alter were for forgivness of sin. The morning and evening lambs were to honor God. Daniel only speaks of the evening and morning sacrifices being stopped.

Not so sure Obama meets all the AC''s qualifications, Charles. He needs to trace his blood line back to David, his name needs to equal 666, (in Hebrew) he needs to be of the Roman empire lienage, the seventh of six somehow. There''s more than 30 qualifications that are mentioned in the Bible. Does he meet all of them? Do you know the Hebrew translation of his name? You need that to count the number of his name.

The end of the Law because He fulfilled the Law and manifested it and completed it. If you read the scriptures with the intention to HONESTLY see if Jesus is the Messiah instead of trying to justify rejecting Him you would see He is the One who fulfills the Word. Being a Christian isn''t a ticket to live an immoral life. Being a Christian is access to God by removing the sin that would otherwise stop us from having access to Him. According to "THE WORD" (JESUS) The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life...through JESUS.

pass from the Law. The Law has never been fulfilled by anyone but Jesus. He fulfilled the Law. He is the Sacrifice. He is the High Priest. He is the Promised One. He fulfilled all scriptural requirements in regard to His birth, life, and death and ressurection to be the Messiah. He will continue to fulfilled prophesy in His return and reign as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. John 3:33 says that "He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. Verse 36 says He that beleiveth on the Son hath eternal life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Unbelief in "God''s" Word is what makes you willing to slander Paul.

Levitucus 17:11 states that For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

My point is that the Law required more than "just" repentance. The Jews of Jesus day knew that. That was Jesus'' point when He said without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. There had to be a sacrifice made according to "God''s" specification in a Temple built to "God''s specification" on an alter built according to "God''s" specification by priests who met "God''s" specification. etc. All of those were emblematic of the true an perfect One to come

Can one defile or profane an abomination?

In 2 Thessalonians 2:4, the rebuilt 3rd temple is referred to as the "temple of God" when the man of sin sits in it. When the man of sin sets up an image in the Holy place and demands worship, he defiles the temple.

One can only defile that which is HOLY.

christ will probaby have something to with the ability to rebuild the temple and to some is the sign that he is the messiah but of course you and I know they won''t be worshipping the true Messiah, until the real Messiah returns the temple will be a abomination as you stated but, just as Jesus cleansed us, he can clean up the evil that was in this temple at the start. Remember that a lot of people will still reject that Jesus is the true living God. So, the new temple will be an abomination because Jesus will not get the praise or the glory. Here is what everyone misses about the law. The Covenant of the law was given to the Jews only, but the law was given to the entire universe, including the angelic realm. What was the essance of the covenant? The essance of the covenant of the law was to keep the law and you will have eternal life. However the major, major point that the Jews and every one else has missed is that God did not mean keep the law most of the time. When he said keep the law he said all of the law. God is a God of perfection. He meant 100% of the law 100% of the time from the day you are born until the day you die. God also put a penalty on breaking the law. He simply said the soul that sins shall die. That is why the New Testament declares that no one will be saved by keeping the law. God declared that the Jews had broken the covenant in the Toraha and a new covenant would be established later on. The covenant of the law was not given to save anybody. After we lose the war in Afghanistan (on purpose) and our troops come home demoralized and humiliated, the volunteer army will get out of the army. It will the "crisis" needed to start up the draft. The army will go from being a volunteer one (who is predominantly Republican and conservative) to being an all draft army (a Democrat and liberal one that supports Obama). I believe this will happen before the 2012 elections. This will guarantee that Obama will be able to suspend elections in 2012. The writing was on the wall before the election and you chose to ignore it. What part of his anti-Israel, Pro-Palestinian friends did you not see ? Powers, Rice, Susstein, McPeak . I hate to say it but I will anyway.... I TOLD YOU SO!!! I was warning Israel and this country in blogs prior to the election ..but did anyone listen?? You finally "GET IT" He is an enemy within this country. And the Jews for the most part (exception me and maybe a few) in this country voted him in? What is up with that?
