The shofar, a well know symbol of Rosh Hashanah, is one of the earliest instruments used in Jewish music. Usually made from a ram’s horn, a shofar can also be made from the horns of other animals, including those of a goat or sheep. It is the one musical instrument that has not changed in over 5,000 years.
The shofar would also be blown to call up the troops for battle, and the Scriptures tell us it will announce the coming of the Messiah!
Size: 12”-14” approximately (this is a real ram’s horn, color and size varies, as every shofar is unique).
