Israelis want to make the most of second Trump presidency

Israeli lawmakers meet to discuss “national vision” for upcoming Trump presidency. Top of the agenda: Scrapping the two-state solution.

Given the tremendous success of the first Trump Administration, at least as far as Israelis are concerned, the Knesset is keen to make the most of Donald Trump’s second term as President of the United States, scheduled to begin on January 20.

Lawmakers of the Knesset Caucus for the Fight Against Antisemitism and the Delegitimization of the State of Israel convened on Monday to discuss the Jewish state’s “national vision” for the upcoming Trump presidency.

The meeting was led by Likud MK Ariel Kallner, who noted that the war that began on October 7, 2023 still rages, and that a second Trump presidency presents Israel with a unique opportunity to achieve real victory, something denied by past American administrations.

According to Kallner, this might be Israel’s last real chance to adopt a vision for the future that’s based on the realities of the Middle East, rather than fanciful Western notions of “land-for-peace.”

The idea of dividing the Land of Israel and creating a Palestinian state must be “permanently removed from the agenda, as its implementation would bring only blood, sweat, and tears,” he added.

“My vision and that of the State of Israel should be: Israel and the United States as partners. A strategic partnership between Israel and the United States will only strengthen both sides, with Israel becoming a nation capable of addressing regional challenges independently, while the United States maintains its global interests,” concluded Kallner.

Other officials who spoke at the meeting suggested that Israel’s military successes over the past year had cemented it as a top regional superpower, and that Jerusalem should lead the fight against jihadists threats in the region, while the US provides cover against international legal threats and combats global antisemitism.

Such an approach would presumably suit Trump, who has expressed a desire to provide support for allies to fight their own battles, while his administration focuses on bolstering America.

We pray for world leaders and governments to come to the rescue to fulfill our own selfish desires. God wants the house of Israel to solely depend on Him ALONE – God alone is the provider of safety for Israel today, tomorrow, and in the future. God doesn’t expect you to desire sinful allies, government officials, diplomatic strategies and solutions to come to Israel’s rescue. God alone delivers: He puts up, and He puts down. The God of Israel has always shown His power and might through a small and separate nation [Israel], and NOT through this world’s empires. It’s conditional – God always requires His commandments and covenants to be kept in order for His protection and blessings to flow through His people. “If my people hearken and keep my commandments…” This doesn’t come from this world’s organized and systematic church/worship. Because His blessings are only provided directly from the throne of God. The USA is a FALLEN NATION and has succumbed to false organized religions; therefore, there isn’t any righteousness in the land. The whole world has now become “the children of disobedience” as God has stated through the ancients. God abhors the hypocrisy and self-righteousness of this present generation. He wants our repentance and obedience to His laws – Individually.
