Israel Launches Strike on ISIS Forces in Syria

Seven terrorists killed while en route to attack Israel; jihadists want to draw Israel into Syrian civil war

Seven members of the ISIS-affiliated jihadist group that remains active in southern Syria were reportedly killed late Wednesday night in an Israeli air strike.

Israel's military spokesperson said that the terrorists were en route to carry out a cross-border attack on the Israeli side of the Golan Heights. Assault rifles and explosive belts were retrieved from the scene by Israeli forces.

The Russian forces operating in Syria have warned that ISIS is trying to draw Israel into the country's long and bloody civil war.

Russian media said that Russia would soon deploy forces along the border to keep the warring factions from provoking Israel.
