In November 2017, a modern Hebrew edition of the Four Gospels of the New Testament was released in Israel under the name Besorot Tovot (Good Tidings).

 This “Flagship Translation” from Greek into biblical and Mishnaic Hebrew was made in the late 19th century by Prof. Franz Delitzsch (see photo). Copyright of Besorot Tovot belongs to Vine of David, the publishing arm of First Fruits of Zion, an American/Israeli Messianic Jewish association. To each of the Gospels is attached a brief foreword by Rabbi Yechiel Tzvi Lichtenstein (1831-1912). His text is in archaic Hebrew, yet his input provides a helpful introduction. This publication, which deserves a hearty welcome, is offered free of charge at the Bram Center in downtown Jerusalem.

The “Four Accounts” of the early disciples of Yeshua supply an important tool for restoring the true Good News (Gospel) taught by the Son of God. These narratives reestablish the remarkable message about repentance, atonement, forgiveness, sanctification and the soon-coming kingdom of heaven. Indeed, restoration of the Gospel is much needed. Increasing emphasis must be placed upon the foundational words of the Redeemer. Only He and His words are “the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6).
