The facility will benefit both Palestinians and Israelis living in the vicinity of the biblical city by providing hundreds, if not thousands of new jobs.
The flagship project is being supported by the Israel government, and will be presented at the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland as an example of the coexistence that can and often does exist on the ground between local Arabs and Jews. The project also fits nicely with the current US Administration’s approach to peace, which emphasizes greater economic cooperation between Israel and the Palestinians.
