Meet the Iranian Israeli Jew Rani Amrani, aka “Radio Ran,” who for years has been supporting protesters in the streets of Tehran broadcasting a 24/7 pro-Zionist Persian-language radio station from somewhere in Israel to the tune of one million new Iranian listeners every month. The leaders of today’s protests are looking to Ran to help them bring down self-proclaimed Ayatollah and President Ebrahim Raisi.

We called Ran to find out what is going on in the streets of Iran.

“Shalom Ran. Shana Tova.”

“Shana Tova, David. May this be a year of freedom for the Iranian people!”

Israel Today: Do you really think so? Why makes these protests any different from what we have seen in the past?

Radio Ran: This time it is very serious. In the past protests against the regime lasted only a few days. Now we are in the third week already.

What’s new this time?

This is a new generation of young people, and they want real change...
