Guy Hochman, a popular Israeli comedian, quoted on his Twitter account (X) the statement of a volunteer to Channel 12 News:

“A group of 20 children were rounded up, shot, these Nazis put them in a pile and set them on fire. A true Holocaust.

“When I was on a trip to Poland and saw some of the horrors of the Nazis and the families exterminated, I felt a sense of revenge that I couldn’t explain. Now it’s happening again. There must be a Jewish uprising here. Thousands of years from now, the Simchat Torah massacre will be remembered and history will judge the response and resilience of the Jewish people. If we don’t respond properly, the destruction of the country will be the result. The stupid government has been ‘killing high-ranking officials’ [in Gaza] for years, it doesn’t understand that new high-ranking officials will always emerge. The terrorists must be eliminated on recruitment day. The abductees must be returned by force and Gaza must be cleansed by force. The army must restore our honor by force.

“We also have a responsibility. Everyone today should consider themselves a partisan, a guardian of Israel, a protector of the country. We are now experiencing it first-hand. We promised a million children who died in the Holocaust that this would never happen again. And it happened again. Now we must engrave it on our hearts and fulfill the promise to the 20 children burned to death in Be’eri and dozens of other babies and children murdered in the massacre. It’s time for revenge.”
