France, Great Britain, and Canada threaten Israel with sanctions

The governments of the three countries demand Israel halt military action in Gaza; Netanyahu reacts sharply: “Invitation to further atrocities.”

International pressure on Israel is growing. In a joint statement, France, Great Britain, and Canada warned that they could take “concrete measures” against Israel if the fighting in the Gaza Strip is not immediately halted and humanitarian aid is not improved. In other words: Sanctions against Israel are suddenly no longer taboo.

The three Western states criticized Israeli military operations as “disproportionate” and spoke of “unbearable human suffering” in Gaza. At the same time, they condemned the expansion of Jewish settlements in the so-called “West Bank” – an issue that is only indirectly related to the war against Hamas in Gaza, but is being deliberately linked by these nations. The aim is to exert political pressure on the Israeli government.

Israel has recently allowed limited aid shipments into the Gaza Strip for the first time in eleven weeks. Boxes of flour, baby formula, and medicine passed through the Kerem Shalom border crossing. But according to the United Nations, the quantity is insufficient. Aid organizations are talking about impending famine.

Netanyahu: “A huge prize for October 7”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a crystal-clear response to the threats from Europe:

Netanyahu stressed that Israel will not compromise as long as Hamas exists. For Israelis, the war can only end with the elimination of the Hamas threat, be that by surrender or military destruction.

Political front against Israel

The declaration from Paris, London, and Ottawa joins a growing international front against Israel. More and more states are calling for an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and the recognition of a Palestinian state. In doing so, they openly oppose the Israeli government’s line.

While the war against Hamas continues militarily, a second war has long been raging in the background: the war for international legitimacy. And this war is increasingly being waged by those who were once among Israel’s closest allies.

  1. David Adeola says:

Please let them sanction so they can witness the wrath of the God of Israel. Zechariah 2:8 (ESV)
[8] For thus said the LORD of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:

  2. G. Ian Goodson says:

Please pray for the UK. We find ourselves with leaders that we never chose. Only 20% of the electorate voted Labour. 40% didn’t vote at all. This meant that Labour got 30% of the vote. The remaining votes went to Conservatives, Reform, Liberal Democrats and others. The first past the post system gave Labour a dictatorial majority. It is the most hated government since William the Bastard (conqueror). The Eurovision popular vote shows what most people think about Israel. Our spiritual leaders are chosen by arcane processes that mean that godly men and women have a hard time becoming leaders and our Royal Family have been systematically mislead since Victorian times. We are in trouble for our sins, but God still has a purpose for us but we need a thoroughgoing and deep-seated revival.

“Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.” Hugh Latimer to Nicholas Ridley before being burned at the stake.

That candle still burns as it was lit, not by men, but by the Light of the World.

Pray for us the hour of our need.

These are the signs of the end time that is unfolding before our very eyes.
We in the Uk, are a remnant that must keep praying for Israel all for the Lords Glory .for they are the apple of His eye .We are grafted in so what happens to Israel effects us
too.I dont see a revival but a shaking of our Churches to remove the dross so we the remnant must continue to pray for and support Israel no matter what the leaders do and say . Maranatha.
