(JNS) US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he would “not allow” Israel to annex Judea and Samaria.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office during a signing ceremony for executive orders, Trump said that he had relayed the message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of their upcoming meeting at the White House on Monday.

“I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, nope,” Trump said. “Whether I spoke to him or not—I did—but I’m not allowing Israel to annex the West Bank.”

The president’s comments give credence to reports that he gave a similar message to Arab and Muslim officials on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, assuring the leaders of Jordan, Qatar and other countries that he would prevent Netanyahu from annexing the territories.

“There’s been enough,” Trump said on Thursday. “It’s time to stop now.”

  1. Susan says:

Trump is not in charge of Israel’s borders. HaShem is. And that land belongs to Israel!!

  2. Renee Gelman says:

Heads of states dont understand that Israel is unique among the nations. It has covenantal promises and through these covenants HaShem promised them the Land. HaShem owns the Land, “it is HIS Land,” and he made a signed an eternal covenantal contract with the Jews giving this Land to them! If you deny them their right to sovereignty over the land, you are asking for the curses of Genesis 12:3. Joel 4:1-2 puts judgement on all nations that divide up HaShem’s Land!

  3. AGR says:

If Trump doesn’t check in with the Lord about Judah and Samaria, this could be one deal he will lose and lose big. He doesn’t have permission from the Lord to think he can control land that doesn’t belong to him.
