I have to admit honestly: I barely know how to convey to you all this chaos, all these corruption scandals, and the political swamp in Israel. It’s simply an embarrassment. We want to be “a light to the nations,” yet instead we stumble in the darkness of our own failings. This isn’t a campaign by our opponents—this is our reality. If we want to morally lecture the world, we first have to face the truth in our own house. And now is the time for exactly that. Because terror attacks the country from the outside. Corruption destroys it from the inside. Terror can wound cities, take lives, spread fear. But corruption eats away at the foundation that holds a society together: trust, justice, accountability. Terror often unites us against the enemy. Corruption divides us—citizen against state, left against right, poor against rich. Terror threatens security. Corruption threatens the very purpose of the state.
