Israel on Sunday approved a series of sweeping measures aimed at tightening Jerusalem’s control over Judea and Samaria—what the world calls the “West Bank,” but what Scripture and history testify is the biblical heartland of the Jewish people.
The new policies mark a turning point in Israeli governance, moving from passive maintenance to active assertion of sovereignty—and in the process, killing off the false hope that a Palestinian state will one day be carved out of Israel’s core.
“Zionism is not measured in speeches or declarations, but in action on the ground,” declared Israeli NGO Regavim, which welcomed the Cabinet’s decision as a long-overdue correction to decades of legal and diplomatic distortion.
