Weekly Torah portion – נָשֹׂ֗א – Nasso – Lift up; Numbers 4:21-7:89; Judges 13:2-25
Sometimes a person carries so much that, at some point, he forgets to lift his head. Daily life weighs down, the news exhausts, worries grow heavier, and slowly it is not only strength that is lost, but also the awareness of one’s own worth.
It is precisely into this reality that the Torah portion Nasso speaks. Right in the middle of regulations, duties, and burdens, a surprising biblical call is heard: “Lift up the head.”
Not merely to count. Not merely to function. But to raise the person up again. To restore dignity, direction, and inner stature. Perhaps healing sometimes begins exactly there — when a person stops merely surviving and learns once again to lift his head.
