People looking for an apartment usually think of a new beginning. For us, it was more of a step into the next phase of our lives.
Our apartment has been with us for many years. The children grew up here, and many things remind us of different phases of our family life. The stairs between the floors were just as much a part of it for us as the garden or the additional room in the basement, which is directly accessible from the apartment. We have always felt at home here.
Nevertheless, a few months ago we started looking for something new. Not because we were unhappy, but because we realized that a single-story apartment would simply be more practical for the coming years than our current apartment with its multiple floors and stairs. Our children are grown and gradually going their own way. At the same time, we ourselves begin to see some things differently than we did twenty or thirty years ago. Apartment hunting
