VIDEO PODCAST: Gaza is already radicalized, and how Trump is making the same old mistake

Israel Today’s Ryan Jones explains why reconstruction alone cannot break Hamas’s cycle of terror, and why blaming Israel for Gaza’s radicalization misses the point.

Gaza is not waiting to be radicalized. It is already shaped by years of Hamas rule, indoctrination and armed conflict.

This video podcast examines a dangerous assumption behind many international peace initiatives: that more Israeli concessions, aid and reconstruction will naturally produce moderation. Israel’s 2005 withdrawal from Gaza tells a different story. Israel removed every Jewish community from the Strip, yet Hamas soon seized control and portrayed the withdrawal as proof that violence works.

Humanitarian relief for Gaza’s civilians is essential. But aid cannot substitute for a strategy to defeat the ideology that brought Gaza to catastrophe.

Any serious path to peace must begin with Hamas’s disarmament and the dismantling of its control over civilian life. Otherwise, reconstruction risks becoming another resource for a terrorist regime to exploit.

The choice is clear: repeat the mistakes of the past—or build a future in which terror is no longer rewarded.
