100 Years of Latrun Monastery – A Quiet Jubilee in the Heart of Israel

Between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, nestled in the gentle hills of the Shephelah region, lies a place that has consciously withdrawn from the noise of history for more than a century – and yet has experienced it time and again: the Trappist monastery of Latrun. This year, the community commemorates the beginning of the construction of its present monastery around one hundred years ago.
