The longer message is this: Trust in the Lord in time of trouble, as it is written, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14).
Troubling times always serve as a wake-up call that one should return to God. Accordingly, the bad times end when people return to God because their purpose has been fulfilled.
It is a Jewish tradition to recite the psalms of King David in such difficult times. They fit into almost every event in a person’s life, and give confidence in the ways of God.
