The throne of sovereign God is far beyond the atmosphere of our planet earth. King David, 3,000 years ago, prophetically wrote that two heavenly thrones exist in the uppermost celestial sphere. “The Lord (יהוה) said to my Lord (אדני), ‘sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool’” (Ps 110:1). Namely, the Father tells his Son Yeshua, that is to say David’s Lord, to sit at His right side. Thus, in the highest heaven these glorious thrones serve both the Father and the Son, and reflect their divine authority, their honor, power and wisdom. This remote and sacred heaven existed already in eternity, before the six days of creation, mentioned in the book of Genesis.
At the same time, however, the throne and the greatness of the Father surpasses the eminence of the Son. This reality was acknowledged by the Lord Yeshua himself, who clarified that His Father is greater than Him (John 14:28). The two heavenly thrones are “hosted” in an everlasting and divine temple, where they are surrounded by multitudes of angels that praise and adore the Father...
