Located on Museum Hill between the Israel Museum and the Bible Lands Museum, the campus will allow visitors from Israel and abroad to see firsthand the exciting finds that tell the stories of those who lived here hundreds and thousands of years ago.
Tens of millions of dollars were raised from donors, as well as from the State of Israel, to build the Schottenstein National Campus for the Archaeology of Israel which will constitute the largest center in the world for the presentation of the archaeological heritage of the Land of Israel. Visitors will be able to take part for the first time in the fascinating process of archaeological conservation that until now was carried out behind the scenes.
Exhibitions will include: the shipwreck in the Caesarea harbor including its cargo of magnificent bronze statues; a walk along a suspended bridge while viewing an audiovisual projection of hundreds of thousands of artifacts; mosaics such as an outstanding depiction of Samson carrying the gate of Gaza on his back after the Philistines tried...
