Yael Shelbia is a 19-year-old Israeli fashion model who is quickly making a name for herself both at home and abroad. She’s also currently a soldier in the IDF.

Earlier this week, Shelbia was chosen by the voters in the annual TC Candler rating as the “Most Beautiful Face of 2020.”

Another Israeli making the list was Gal Gadot, star of the “Wonder Woman” movies, who came in 22nd place.

Shelbia grew up in an Orthodox Jewish household, and many in that community have been displeased by her decision to become a fashion model. But Yael says her family have always been supportive of her career choice.

The IDF, too, has repeatedly been very accommodating, permitting the young soldier to travel abroad for photo shoots.
