One person was killed and another seriously wounded when a Hezbollah rocket slammed into a residential area of the northern Israel coastal town of Nahariya on Thursday afternoon.

Sirens had been sounding for much of the day in northern Israel as Hezbollah escalated its attacks in the face of a strengthening IDF offensive in Southern Lebanon.

Earlier in the day, two people were wounded in Tel Aviv during what was the sixth Iranian missile attack of the day on central Israel.

Magen David Adom said its medics treated a woman in her 40s who suffered shrapnel wounds to her upper body and a 26-year-old man injured by a blast.

There were multiple impact zones after an Iranian cluster munition managed to separate over the area.

Hours earlier, six people were lightly wounded in two separate Iranian missile barrages.

Four additional rounds of Iranian missile fire did not cause any casualties or significant damage.

In Safed in the Upper Galilee, an 11-year-old girl suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed during an air-raid siren earlier on Thursday morning amid Iranian missile attacks, according to MDA. Paramedics managed to resuscitate the girl and evacuate her to the city’s Ziv Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
