With an investment of hundreds of millions of shekels, Techtonic announced that it will build one of the most advanced data centers (server farms) in the world. The system guarantees the ability to maintain and operate continuously even after a malfunction or in the event of a war.
The server farm will be protected against military threats such as a direct hit by missiles, including long-range missiles. Even suffering a direct hit will not be able to disable the facility.
The largest such facility in Israel, it will be built in the industrial area of Beit Shemesh, a mountainous region outside of Jerusalem. The data center will be spread over an area of 15,000 square meters. Construction is estimated to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.
The facility uses a Tier IV construction standard which allows the data center to separate several independent and physically isolated systems to prevent an event from compromising the whole. Together with the physical shielding this will be the first private data facility of its kind in Israel.
