We might say that Trump’s declaration during the elections, “America First”, was actually in relation to the whole world. The fact is that several countries have already followed America’s lead in moving their embassies to Jerusalem, and others are considering it.
We might also say that the Creator is giving the US a chance to reduce the “judgment” spoken of in Joel 3:2: “I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land.”
The God of Israel, the people of Israel and the land of Israel are bound up together. The US in the past had denied this truth. Trump’s return to it is an admission from the leader of an earthly superpower that there is a Power higher still. His promises will surely be kept!
