“Every minute of every agonizing day is spent thinking of the sexual assault and torture that their loved ones are enduring.”

The video clip of published last month showing Gaza terrorists take captive young female IDF observation soldiers sent shockwaves through the nation. There is genuine fear that not only have the girls been raped repeatedly, but that some might be nearing the end of a very unwanted pregnancy as a result.

Sara’s letter to Jill.

This week, Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, again appealed to US First Lady Jill Biden to do more to help secure their unconditional release.

Netanyahu wrote in a letter written to Biden on behalf of the mothers:

Dear Jill,

I am writing to you along with five mothers whose daughters were taken hostage by Hamas savages on October 7, 2023: Meirav Berger, Shira Albag, Ayelet Shachar (Levy), Ira Ariev and Orly Gilboa.

Over seven months have passed since my previous letter to you, which was written from one mother to another. For these five mothers, who have become my sisters, time has stood still. Every minute of every agonizing day is spent thinking of the sexual assault and torture that their loved ones are enduring in the Hamas terror dungeons.

We are approaching nine unbearable months.

You have surely seen the videos, taken by the terrorists themselves, when they abducted the girls. The terror in the eyes of Agam, Liri, Naama, Karina and Daniela is palpable. We see them plead for their lives while sitting bound, barefoot and wounded in blood covered pajamas, having just witnessed the murder of their friends. It is a horrifying scene that we will never forget.

I am enclosing photos of the girls before they were stolen from us, as well as photos of them after their abduction.

Please join us in demanding that Hamas release these innocent girls immediately and unconditionally. Jill, as the First Lady of the United States, you are best positioned to lead a coalition of women, together with me and these mothers, that calls for the girls’ freedom.

A few days ago, on June 22, we marked the birthday of Naama Levy. She should have been with her family and friends celebrating her 20th birthday. We hope and pray that we will be able to celebrate her freedom and that of all the hostages.

Best wishes,

Sara Netanyahu

Netanyahu’s last letter to Jill Biden came in November of 2023. In it, she urged the American First Lady, as a fellow mother, to come to the aid of the Israeli children being held captive in Gaza.

But recent American media reports indicate Jill Biden, like many in the US administration, are keen to see the Gaza war come to an immediate halt, even before all the Israeli hostages have been freed.

At a Ramadan even in April, President Joe Biden said that his wife has been privately pressing him to “stop it, stop it now” in regard to the Gaza war.
