Paula White-Cain, chief spiritual advisor to US President Donald Trump, together with her husband Jonathan Cain of the renowned rock band Journey, made a high‑profile visit to the Western Wall in Jerusalem this week.
Received by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz and Western Wall Heritage Foundation CEO Mordechai “Soli” Eliav, she was praised for her unwavering personal support and for the United States’ continuous backing of Israel and the Jewish people.
White‑Cain toured the “Gateway to Heaven” exhibit in the Western Wall tunnels, an immersive presentation tracing the history of the Jewish people. At the end of her visit, she placed a personal prayer note in the Western Wall and wrote in the guest book: “I am proud and grateful to be at this most sacred place – surely God has heard our prayers – may there always be peace with Jerusalem.”

“True friend of Samaria”
At an event at Jerusalem’s Waldorf Astoria—hosted by Niv Yaakobi and The Meaning Channel Group—Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara participated in honoring White‑Cain. Also present was Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, who presented the American evangelical leader with an engraved artwork celebrating Jewish heritage in the biblical heartland and the fulfillment of Jeremiah’s prophecy: “You shall plant vineyards again on the hills of Samaria.”
Dagan spoke of White‑Cain as “a true friend of the Jewish people and particularly of pioneer builders in Judea and Samaria.” He emphasized that this period is “decisive for sovereignty” in the biblical heartland, and called the leadership of Netanyahu a model in facing Iran and global hostility.

White‑Cain expressed gratitude, saying: “I truly believe Prime Minister Netanyahu and Sara will go down in history as among Israel’s greatest leaders… This is truly a watershed moment for sovereignty.”
Netanyahu himself praised IDF soldiers, declaring: “They fight as described in the Bible—as lions—and have stunned the world.”
Sara Netanyahu added: “The Bible belongs to everyone—Jews, Christians, all. It is the foundation.”
Who is Paula White-Cain?
On February 7, 2025, Trump officially established the White House Faith Office and appointed Paula White-Cain as its head and his senior adviser on issues of faith.
She had previously chaired his evangelical advisory board in 2016, and delivered the invocation at Trump’s January 20, 2017 inauguration, becoming the first female clergy to do so. In 2019, White-Cain was named special adviser to Trump’s Faith & Opportunity Initiative.
A prominent televangelist, White-Cain is a leading proponent of what’s known as the “prosperity gospel,” which has made her unpopular in some evangelical circles. Trump’s reliance on White-Cain to navigate relations with his broader Christian voter base has likewise drawn sharp criticism.
Prior to her role in the Trump administrations, White-Cain pastored a megachurch in Florida.
