Israeli hotel suffers internal “BDS” for hosting Netanyahu

The Panda Hotel in the Mt. Hermon resort town of Neve Ativ was flooded with phony negative reviews for hosting the “dictator.”

The Panda Resort in the small village of Neve Ativ on the slopes of Mt. Hermon found itself the target of a boycott campaign for daring to host Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara on a mini-vacation this week.

Anti-government protesters received police permission to enter Neve Ativ and demonstrate outside the Panda Resort while the Netanyahus tried to take a small break from the rigors of governing the Jewish state.

But the real action took place online.

Hundreds, and perhaps thousands of Israelis took to Google and Facebook to write phony negative reviews in both Hebrew and English to lower the rating of the Panda Resort. They accused the hotel of “hosting a dictator.”

Prominent right-wing journalist Amit Segal labeled the effort an act of internal “BDS” referencing the global anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.

Later, supporters of the prime minister responded with their own flood of positive reviews. On Google, the Panda Resort’s rating is currently back up to 4.4 stars.
