Even in biblical times, the prophets had problems with the elite among the people. Now, as a result of the war, the left-wing elite is accused of leading Israel into an unrealistic concept, leading to a false understanding of our enemies. The question arises as to what the elite will learn from this after the war.

God made the priesthood the elite and they became so busy dealing with every-man’s sin that they became preoccupied with holiness not politics. They were given no land as God was their inheritance. Pagans often change the role of the priest from dealing with the holiness of sinners to affirming the righteousness of sinners. “You will be like God” (Genesis 3:5) is the deception the pagan priest asserts. Rome was in bondage to this deception (it still is) and they turned the early church fathers to it. All religions produce their pagan ruling elites. Today the elites of ideology and philosophy compete with them. Messiah returns as the Servant King whose prime role is his godly priesthood. He trains his servants in this role to rule with him. Rulers that neglect their bible will not be ruling with him. They are supposed to write out their own copy to ensure they know and can follow his ways. Deut 17:18
