The question of what is preferable, a hostage release or crushing Hamas, is complex, painful, and highly controversial. Each decision has moral, religious, security, diplomatic, and strategic consequences that must be carefully weighed. In my view, both sides are right and it was not an easy dilemma for the government. And yet, when you see the freed daughters of Zion back in the arms of their parents and families, everyone feels in their hearts that this decision was right. For now! The future is another matter.
