Previously I explained why, in my opinion, a “Europe without God” is not a better model. The humanistic DNA of the West assumes that without a reference to God in politics, everything seems simpler and more logical. But that is wrong. A world in which politics operates without a view of God is not more peaceful. I have repeatedly emphasized that the West does not truly see into the Middle East. Peoples who have either forgotten God or deliberately ignore Him cannot understand peoples who also consider the divine in their politics. Faith in Allah shapes the politics of Israel’s Arab neighbors, and faith in the God of Israel shapes politics here in the Holy Land. God and religion are not just a matter of individual worldview but also a means that unites a nation – and that has been lost in the humanistic West.
