In a rare and revealing interview, Rev. Dr. Johnnie Moore, Chairman of Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), accused Hamas of committing war crimes—not just against Israel, but against its own people.
“The situation is deadly. We are delivering food in a war zone, not during a ceasefire,” said Moore. His organization, which distributes 2 to 3 million meals a day, has reportedly lost staff members to violence perpetrated by Hamas itself.
Moore emphasized that nearly all aid entering Gaza has until now been under Hamas control. “That hasn’t helped the people of Gaza—it’s hurt them,” he said. According to Moore, Hamas deliberately manipulates aid, uses it as leverage, and now actively interferes with the GHF’s efforts to distribute food for free, even resorting to lethal force.
“Hamas threatens us. They’ve even killed some of our local aid workers. No one at the UN has condemned it,” he stated, adding that many accusations against Israel regarding aid delivery incidents are part of an intentional disinformation campaign.
“There have been incidents where the IDF was involved, but far fewer than people assume,” Moore said. “According to our estimates, Hamas intentionally targets civilians—its own people—just to blame us or the IDF. This is part of their information war.”
🚨🚨🚨URGENT Release from GHF:
We are aware of credible reports that Hamas is openly targeting the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and those who work with us. According to these reports, Hamas has placed bounties on both our American security personnel and Palestinian aid workers,…

The reverend also described how criticism of his organization is not organic, but the result of a coordinated Hamas smear campaign. “They exaggerate. They fabricate. And even worse—they kill Gazans to create propaganda,” he warned.
While acknowledging logistical and PR challenges, Moore said his team adapts daily to survive in Gaza’s deadly environment. “We’re learning every day. We improve what we do every day. But it’s a deadly place to work.”
Moore declined to name the group’s funders but confirmed that the initial financing came primarily from two European countries who chose to remain anonymous due to fear of political backlash.
Despite the deadly risks and manipulation, Moore and his team continue operations. “Our mission is simple: feed as many people as possible, as safely as possible. But Hamas makes that mission harder every day—not Israel.”
These revelations sharply contradict prevailing narratives in some international forums, offering a rare inside view into the realities of aid delivery in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
