“Things were steered very correctly here. In retrospect, it’s not bad at all that Trump said no to Israel twice and Netanyahu said yes twice. Within 24 hours, we acted twice against the president’s stated position. That’s not simple. We struck in the Dahiyeh when Trump said no. And we struck in Iran when Trump said no. That’s no small thing. In retrospect, that’s not bad and strengthens Israeli deterrence in the eyes of the Iranians and Arabs. In the end, the enemies saw that Trump said no — and we said yes. But on our part, and this is the most important thing: we did not sever the rope with the Americans. Trump is holding to his commitment on the nuclear issue, insists on the removal of the uranium and on zero enrichment, is not releasing the frozen funds, is not lifting the sanctions against Iran, is continuing the blockade against Iran, the American forces remain here, and the military option remains on the table.”
