Writing in the official Palestinian Authority daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, columnist Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul made the incredible assertion that Israeli archaeologists “have searched for the last 70 years and have not found a single archaeological remnant related to the…Temple, or even other archaeological remnants that are connected to Jews in Palestine in general.”
Of course, the exact opposite is true, and museums around the world are filled with archaeological evidence of Jewish history in this land. More than that, the most widely-read book on earth, the Bible, details Jewish life in this land up through and immediately after the time of Jesus. Those New Testament accounts are further bolstered by the writings of Roman officials and historians, an unbiased third party that had no interest in cementing modern Jewish claims.
