“I am neither Arab nor Jew,” said Muawiya Kabha in an interview with Israel Today. “I am a human being, nothing more. Nobody has the right to take another’s life. I condemn all violence against innocent people. I treat everyone exactly the same, regardless of whether he or she is a Jew or an Arab. In fact, we must stop seeing ourselves as Jews and Arabs in general. That’s the source of all our problems. Life is beautiful, and we must learn to enjoy it as fellow human beings.”
Muawiya Kabha has been paramedic and ambulance driver since 1998. The 42-year-old from the Arab village of Umm al-Qutuf near the central Israel town of Hadera has been a first responder at the scene of many a traffic accident, as well as in the aftermath of terrorist attacks.
