I say “again” because from the moment the Jewish people came home to Israel, their tiny strip of land became a fiery arena of terrorism, wars, knives, Molotov cocktails and now wildfires—1,700 blazing horrors that lasted five days.
Just as forest fires begin with a spark, so the Arab-Israeli conflict became a never-ending inferno sparked by hatred and lies. The clash over who owns the Land of the Bible continues to fuel a smoldering rage between the two peoples. “Beware of playing with fire,” says the ancient proverb, “for you will get burned.”
It is the very existence of a Jewish state that ignited the conflict in the first place. Islam has a fundamental, unwavering spiritual clash with the biblical nation of Israel. Let’s suppose for a moment that it was not Israel, but some Muslim conqueror who had settled the Land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.
