The Czech Education Ministry ordered that by the beginning of the school year in September, all textbooks and student atlases must reflect the name of Israel’s new “capital.” This was reported in the Czech daily Mladá fronta Dnes (Young Front Today).
The move prompted outrage in Israel.
“Palestinian incitement knows no limits,” said the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem. “You poison not only the souls of the Palestinian children, but also sow lies into the hearts of the young people in the Czech Republic.”
