There’s been plenty of prediction, prophecy and peril forecasted these days and if you are like me you probably already feel like the whole world is quickly closing in on us and becoming ever more dangerous.
Why do we even need these prophecies? Isn’t the world scary enough?
Daniel, who was known for his gift to interpret dreams and see into the future, can give us some clues as to why prophecy is important, particularly in times like this.
It’s a Beast
Daniel sees Four Beasts in a vision. He asks for the interpretation and is told that these monsters are four kingdoms that will arise in the earth before “the Son of Man (Messiah) will come and establish His Kingdom” (Dan 7: 15-28).
What’s happening?
To get what’s going on here, we need to understand that Daniel is having these dreams while in captivity in Babylon together with the Jewish Nation (much of his prophecy is written in Aramaic).

Prophecy is one of the ministries in which Jesus walked and still walks. If fact one can make the case, as He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, He is also the Prophet of prophets in that all the promises of God are fulfilled in Him. A guiding light in dark times.
Amen. We should all embrace Elohim’s (God’s) perspective of faith, hope, and love in light of the revelation of future events and an expected in for those who embrace YHVH Elohim (the LORD God). Ye’shua told his disciples the major things that would transpire before he returned. Now that it is at the door we should most definitely look up and set our minds on things above where he sits at the right hand of the Father and live our lives in anticipation of his coming; not ignoring the reality that we could go to meet him (in the sleep of death) before he comes back.
