Between relief and alarm: A personal account from Israel after the US strike on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan

It was a quiet Saturday evening in Israel. After a week filled with sirens, impacts, and uncertainty, many felt they could finally catch their breath. The Home Front Command had eased some restrictions on public life: shopping malls reopened, cafés were bustling, and even our daughter seized the chance to meet friends for coffee in the city. For a brief moment, life almost felt normal again.

That evening, we at Israel Today held a large Zoom event with nearly a thousand participants. We discussed the situation in the country, the tensions with Iran, and the hope for stability. We also talked about the likelihood of Trump actually intervening and striking Iran’s nuclear facilities. It was a calm evening. No sirens, no rockets. I signed off with the words: “Maybe it’ll be a quiet night.”

But at 3:30 a.m., I was suddenly awake. My son came out of his room, phone in hand, and said only: “They did it.” I knew immediately what he meant. I grabbed my phone – the reports confirmed it: President Donald...

    Absolutely. Only the God of Israel can rescue Israel. No one, at this point, truly knows if the bombings were as successful as touted. May God be with you all!!!
