Israel responds to Iran’s nuclear threat with Operation Am Ke’Lavi.

Who was killed in Israel’s surprise attack? What was the goal of the nighttime operation? And how close is Iran really to having a nuclear bomb?

In the predawn hours of June 13, Israel struck at the heart of Iran’s nuclear program in a coordinated operation. Dozens of targets in Natanz, Fordow, and Tehran were attacked simultaneously – including underground enrichment facilities, research laboratories, and command posts.

But most notably, several high-ranking generals of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and leading nuclear scientists were eliminated.

The operation bears the biblically inspired name “Am Ke’Lavi” – “A People Like a Lion.” And that is exactly how Israel presented itself last night: swift, decisive, fearless.

The nuclear threat

In recent months, evidence has mounted that the Iranian regime is approaching the “point of no return” on its path to a nuclear bomb. Intelligence information shows that Tehran now possesses several hundred kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%—a technological intermediate stage only weeks away from weapons-grade material.
