Israelis love to travel. And that’s probably an understatement. One of the hardest parts of the coronavirus crisis has for Israelis been the inability to visit other places in the world, or to receive foreign visitors.

In recent months, Ben Gurion Airport has again been offering flights to a growing list of countries, and Israelis are taking full advantage of this newfound, if limited freedom.

Passengers are required to undergo a COVID-19 test at the airport.

Most of the arriving flights are still filled with Israelis returning home, though tourists from “green” countries with lower COVID-19 infection rates are now allowed to enter, so long as they can provide negative virus tests.

The government has also reduced the required quarantine time for those entering the country from 14 to 10 days.
