Ilana Gritzewsky stood before the Human Rights Council not as a statistic, but as a survivor — and exposed an institution willing to indict Israel instantly while hesitating to believe Jewish women.

The report is “an embarrassment to the United Nations and a disservice to genuine human rights accountability,” said Dina Rovner of UN Watch.

During a heated exchange at a conference on conflict-related sexual violence, Israel’s ambassador accused senior United Nations representatives of bias against the Jewish state.

“The UN’s methodology is unreliable, as it has traditionally counted as ‘settler violence’ even incidents of self-defense by Jews,” international law expert Eugene Kontorovich told JNS.

In response to the latest U.N. decision to blacklist Israel, Israel announced that it was cutting all ties with the secretary-general. This step is insufficient.

“These acts amount to the war crimes of murder and torture, and abuses of international human rights and humanitarian law,” according to the report.

Karim Khan was suspended pending disciplinary proceedings after a U.N. investigation found evidence of alleged sexual misconduct involving a former aide.

A USAID inspector general investigation recommended blacklisting 101 current and former agency staffers, including school teachers and medical professionals, from U.S. foreign-aid programs.

The Center for Medical Integrity argues that the U.N. agency’s reporting system conflates wartime disruptions with deliberate attacks and lacks adequate correction mechanisms.
