An Interview With Aunt Sarah

My great-grandparents immigrated in 1922 from Kurdistan to what was then called Palestine. They settled in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City, where a total of 14 children were born to them, including my great-aunt, Aunt Sarah, who I had the privilege of interviewing for this special edition of Israel Today.

 

 

Israel Today: When were you born?

 

Aunt Sarah: I was born on November 8th, 1924 in Jerusalem at Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus.
