Two Israelis, aged 20 and 60, were murdered this afternoon in a shooting attack at the Allenby Border Crossing between Israel and Jordan.
According to initial information, the truck driven by the suspect across the border was designated for humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the terrorist, coming from the Jordanian side, used a truck intended to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza to reach the border crossing. It appears that the terrorist began stabbing the two Israeli victims after his gun jammed.
A security official emphasized that the terrorist was a Jordanian civilian employed by the Jordanian military for transporting aid goods from Jordan to the Gaza Strip.
An Israeli official told the media that, due to an agreement with Jordan, aid trucks are not subjected to inspections.
Two men, approximately 60 and 20 years old, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Another person was reportedly wounded.
The attacker was immediately killed at the scene.

Reactions, security situation, and consequences
The Allenby Border Crossing was temporarily closed following the attack, and security authorities also blocked access to Jericho in Judea and Samaria.
Israelis are demanding a thorough investigation—how could someone armed and under the guise of an aid convoy reach the security area of the crossing?
The incident heightens tensions at the borders and raises questions about control, loyalties, and the potential exploitation of humanitarian programs.
